ME! I can't stand noisy babies. I thought that most Aspies can't take that kind of stuff either. Maybe Trump is an Aspie.

It's easy to misdiagnose from afar.

Could be. Good to see you post, N. A.

I'm conservative but not a current fan.

Hey, drlaugh, did you know that "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" comes from the limestone found where the KU Lawrence Campus is built? I thought that was quite interesting.

The "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" is known WORLDWIDE!

Nope. I'd probably break a leg or something. Where is that? Is that Mt. Oread?

Actually, this isn't true. ICBMs have a long arcing trajectory that provides quite a bit of notice when one is launched, [i]except[i] if it's launched from very close with a depressed trajectory, in which case instead of 30 minutes warning, you might have 5, and that's quick enough to wipe out command and control before a retaliatory strike can be launched. That's what the Cuban missile crisis was about, the Russians having missiles close enough to make a first strike possible, and thus more appealing. We're more vulnerable to that in that our capitol isn't too far from the ocean, making a sea launched depressed trajectory strike possible, but our submarine technology is way better than theirs, so it's not considered likely.

One of my favorite political adds is youngsters dressed for politicking - throwing mud at each other.

On of my favorite Election songs heard locally -includes the lyrics.
When there is an election in Washington, there is an ice cream social in Iowa.

For those interested (I can't see why) I am happily married to an aspie man who I have known for 22 years, we have a two year old neurotypical son who looks a lot like me and acts like his dad (I'm outnumbered). We have two pit bulls and one English Shepherd, three cats, and a house. But thanks, you guys. I'll be turning 40 on my next birthday and I don't get out much so it was nice to be complimented.

And I am still reading this thread, although I'm trying not to offend people with my MAGA views.

Don't know how to share that link from a phone.

Thank you Soc. I was utterly terrified the last day or so waiting to see if I had creeped you out or not. I can't seem to figure out how to stop creeping out women. But I also can't figure out how to stop complimenting them, stop showing interest of any sort, etc., etc. I've heard this is a symptom of Asperger's, though somehow, it's still my fault and still very not cool? I have no idea how to fix this problem, or how to stop speaking to females.

Sadly, I remain traumatized by this. I don't know how to forget about it, or ignore it, or "let it go." I may be worried about this until the day I die.

Lol, dude, I'm sorry, I didn't mean for my comment to be "creep shaming" or anything of the sort-- was just trying to point out social context. You have nothing to feel bad about, and as she posted later she's taking it as a friendly compliment-- no harm, no foul.
