It's about instilling responsibility and accountability at an early age. Whether or not kids have guns or access to them is really insigificant.
Most people who commit gun murders aren't lazy, irresponsible people who lack responsibility and accountability. When people lack responsibility and accountability, they will usually obsess over celebrities and act like arrogant pricks.
When people commit murder, it usually a product of mental illness and/or extreme cynicism.
Hardcore capitalism contributes to this because psychotherapy is so expensive. Additionally, the capitalist system rewards selfish behavior, creating the illusion that all human beings are naturally bastards. That's why so many people nowadays are so misanthropic.
Conservatives and libertarians are correct when they say that guns don't kill people alone. People kill people. Instead, we should think about the psychology of a murderer. What could cause a human being to be so heartless?
Could it be the fact that we live in a system that encourages sociopathic behavior and lets poor people starve?
