And people in comas.

And we pull the plug on people who are in comas with little chance of waking-up, so......

No, you're confusing coma with life support.
Coma is a state of unconsciousness in which a person cannot be awakened; fails to respond normally to painful stimuli, light, or sound; lacks a normal wake-sleep cycle; and does not initiate voluntary actions.

People in comas can be on life support.

So can mostly healthy and perfectly conscious people(apart from their damaged kidneys)
But that has nothing at all to do, with whether being unconscious or comatose removes the sanctity of life, which is what was being debated.

Coma and life support are two entirely separate things.

From what I'm reading they pull the plug when the coma patient is either brain dead or there's such significant trauma to the brain there is no chance of recovery. Pulling the plug has to go through formailites and be approved by a judge which can take years.
