Not interested.

This is home. This is where my friends and family are. Those of us who stay accept the financial concessions we have to make in order to be here. There’s a reason this place is so expensive, and not just because our gov’t turns a blind eye to money laundering or our proximity to China. This is the most desirable place to live in the entire country. Rainforest, mountains, ocean etc. Nowhere else in the country, or on the planet, compares. I’d rather rent from my parents here than live in a boring ugly place w/o the geo-enviro amenities this place provides. There are some things money can’t buy.

Rainforest? Mountains? Oceans? Yeah, we got those. Visit scenic Olympic Peninsula for your vacation of a lifetime!

Still not the same. Plus it’s currently within Trump’s America, so I won’t be spending any time or money there. I haven’t crossed the border since December 2016.

But at least the Seattle area is nice and green. Whenever I’ve returned from a road trip farther South, it always starts to feel like home when the trees start getting bigger and greener near Seattle.

The drive through the Cascades to Leavenworth & back is nice, though.

Believe it or not, there is actually green in eastern Washington - - along with rolling, sage brush and volcanic rock filled waste as far as the eye can see.

Washington is filled with dry land and green land and mountains and oceans and bays and ferries. And then we have Vancouver, WA and the Clark County area being part of the Portland area. We get lot of Washington people in my city and lot of them work down here too. Some live as far as Longview and they come all the way down here and work while living that far. Mt brother works in Washington. You still gotta pay income tax if you are a Oregon resident even though you work in Washington. They don't have income tax and Oregon does. You can't avoid it. You also can't avoid sales tax so buying a car in Oregon won't make you avoid sales tax.

Another part of Washington I've seen that's absolutely gorgeous is taking the ferry over to the San Juans on a bright sunny Summer day.. I spent the afternoon on Orcas Island, sort of by accident, as I didn't realize I was going to an island until I crossed the border and turned on my GPS! All I knew was that when I looked it up online it said the bike shop I was going to buy a used mountain bike from was like ~45km away.. I crossed the border and my GPS said drive 175km to Port Angeles and catch a ferry.. I figured even if I had to pay $150 for the ferry (It's approx $100 each way with a car here now I think - which is why I never go to Vancouver Island.) it would still be worth it.. pleasant surprise was that it was only like $20usd AND you only pay one way! Orcas Island is an awesome little spot & I can see why VERY RICH Microsoft & Boeing people have vacation properties there.

Not sure I've seen much of Eastern Washington.. except for maybe a road trip when my brother went to a summer program for gifted kids at Eastern Washington University and we drove through what was a freshly burnt forrest fire - this was back in the late 1980's.

I also accidentally crossed the American border on a seadoo ~10 years ago when I rented one in Osoyoos (40C weather at a desert resort town in BC) and ripped it across the lake at a little over 100kmh. I didn't realize I'd crossed the border until I was a few hundred yards passed the border marker and quickly turned around.

Washington miiiiight be the best looking state in the USA - but then again, I haven't been to all of them, and haven't been to either of the freak states: Alaska & Hawaii.

Yakima is pretty dry and they are only green because they irrigate. Spokane is on the wetland but they are on the edge of dryland because when you head out west on I-90 past the city, it becomes dry land. Tri-Cities is in dryland too.

Same goes for whoever said because he fathered a child that he should be capable of working.. wtf? Just because a male can get an erection & have an orgasm doesn't automatically mean he's fit for work.

If you're "man" enough to drop a baby in a woman then you need to be "man" enough to take care of it. Which means going out, working for a living and doing what you need to do as an adult. If you don't wanna take care of kids then you shouldn't have them, and if you don't realize that all it takes is one time then you shouldn't be having sex then.

Also the way you commented that makes you sound like you don't even know where children come from at all ... An erection and an orgasm you say??? Ever heard of protection, or "pulling out"??? Sure beats the crap out of jizzing inside a woman and having a chance of being on the hook 9 months later for a possible 18 years of your life. That child support order is real bruhh.

 I comprehend this. You comprehend this. What is this guy's IQ & functioning level? Maybe neither is high enough to get this and make proper decisions. Or maybe he just did it like countless intelligent men who then end up having their girlfriend's take a plan B pill or get an abortion. Anyways, just because he could get his dick up & blow a load doesn't mean he's bright enough to have considered what might happen in terms of pregnancy etc. You're making a lot of assumptions about the guy.. when clearly from even one short video clip interview it's very obvious he has mental health issues and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if those issues include impulse control issues that extend to sexual activity.

Well I guess that can't be helped but I do feel bad for the woman though because many people seem to be making fun of her saying that she got knocked up by a "waste of flesh". I think a lot of guys don't take enough responsibility for sexual activity and leave it on the women to either get an abortion or take birth control/plan B. Its like "dude, you don't know how to pull out or use a rubber???". I guess that's neither here nor there though. The guy could be bipolar or something and many bipolar people have tendencies towards hyper sexuality for some reason.

https://nypost.com/2018/05/31/deadbeat-son-finally-starts-to-move-out-of-parents-home/

Quote:
Michael Rotondo — the 30-year-old upstate man who lost a court battle to keep living in his parents’ suburban Syracuse home — began hauling his junk out in anticipation of a Friday deadline to vacate the premises.

The unemployed ne’re-do-well was seen schlepping Lowe’s boxes packed with his belongings, along with a strange collection of heavy equipment such as a welding table, and taking it to a nearby storage locker.

“I feel pretty good about it! Yeah, I’m ready,” he told The Post when asked how he felt about the impending eviction day.

Rotondo was helped by a distant cousin, Anthony Mastropool, who lent the use of a pickup truck to carry some 30 boxes and other miscellaneous large items to the storage unit.

But Rotondo showed some procrastination Thursday during the court-ordered move, which his parents first requested, in writing, earlier in the year.

Rotondo got a helping hand from Mastropool after meeting him for the very first time “the other day.” The two quickly surmised they were distant cousins.

“Try to not scratch it up,” Rotondo barked at Mastropool as he navigated a dusty work table into the storage space.

Mastropool said he offered to help because he thinks Michael, who was fired from his job at Best Buy in 2015 and last worked as a ski instructor last year, may have mental health issues.

“I have a nephew like that so that’s what originally made me want to help,” Mastropool said.

Rotondo says he was diagnosed in 2007 with paranoid schizophrenia but doesn’t take medication. He believes he could be on the autism spectrum.

^ There ya go. He has one official diagnosis & may have other afflictions. This was VERY apparent in a less than 1 minute video clip interview I watched, and so I agree with those who said it's entirely inappropriate for journalists to destroy this guy in an interview.

Maybe his parents aren't the type to accept his diagnosis as a reason he can't work & function in life. They're not obligated to. They're not obligated to financially pay for his existence, either. Sounds like they'll all be better off if he's collecting disability (or working, or some combination.) and living in his own space.

Paranoid Schizophrenia? Before learning this, I had sided with the parents. Now I suspect that they are just trying to get rid of him out of fear (and maybe embarrassment).

The Autism issue is moot, since it's a self-diagnosis.

Maybe they can't afford to pay for him? Maybe he's extremely difficult to be around and don't like him? Maybe they don't believe that mental health afflictions can in fact impair someone to the point that they're unable to work & provide for themselves? Maybe they don't like that he refuses to treat his paranoid schizophrenia so that he can work and function in life? Doesn't really matter, he's a 30 year old man and his parents don't want him living in their home, so, he has to move.

IF he is on the Autism spectrum, it's not moot because it's a self-diagnosis. Are his symptoms somehow non-existent unless someone with letters after their name writes it down on a piece of paper?

I see their side of it; but that doesn't make me like it. Before this, my opinion was "Kick the freeloading Sack o'Shiite to the curb and leave him there. He will just have to grow up and get a real job." Now it's more like, "Aw, crap ... another schizophrenic on a one-way trip to Skid Row."

IF he is really on the spectrum, then it is an important issue; but it's only a guess on his part Besides, with schizophrenia, he could well imagine any number of symptoms or ailments, especially if that's what the "voices" tell him.

It's a craptastic situation all around. On the one hand, the son is old enough to live on his own.

On the other hand, the son has schizophrenia, and may be completely unable to live on his own.

On the gripping hand, the house belongs to the parents, and the judge has already ordered the eviction.

Irrelevent to the bigger issues but thinking you are autistic and self diagnosis are not necessarily the same thing. The self diagnosed are certain enough of it to think of themselves as autistic/person with autism. The person involved thinks he might be autistic.

Yeah.. or to Know, because we're autistic, not stupid.
