They along with the aristocracy still own vast amounts of stolen wealth.

People claim they are powerless yet they have more influence over government than any commoner. Americans worry about Billionaires corrupting the system and influencing government yet they have far less influence of their government than the Royals do here in the UK.

I have a feeling when William becomes king (if the monarchy still exists by then) a lot of the old school stuff will be done away with by him. Of course if Chuck lives as long as Liz and Phil, that's probably going to be at least another 25-30 years from now.
