Far right on the rise in Europe
People liked it that Hitler stabilized the German economy. In the 1920s, people had to literally drag along wheelbarrows of cash in order to buy bread.
They also liked it that Germany was not a "conquered country" any more under Hitler.
Please....don't construe this to mean that I'm a "Hitler apologist." I hate the Nazis with more than a fervent passion.
I'm thinking about the viewpoint of the ethnic German populace (non-Jewish) who had to live in very trying conditions in the 1920s. Then Hitler comes along and blames the Jews for everything.....now it wasn't the Germans' fault after all!
We have to learn the lessons of history. We have stamp out this right-wing crap!
I feel that the media, and one or two key people behind the scenes of politics / journalism and the entertainment industry have been instrumental in causing Brexit.
Terrorist events created by people who are portrayed as Islamic Fundamentalists and from the "alt-right" (neo-nazi's) have been used by journalists to drive hate and fear into the hearts of the public against the foreign invaders (who are obviously only here to steal your jobs, and rape your woman... obviously...).
When ever there is hardship, as happens when there is an economic crisis, journalists will exploit the opportunity to further their own causes.
Journalism, as with entertainment industry products is rarely without bias. In essence, much of the information that we read, watch and hear, whether passively or actively... is propaganda.
I have read up a little on some of the people or players involved in this complex great game for world domination. There are people like Steve Bannon, who was Donald Trumps campaign strategist involved in political philanthropy.
I have read that he has been giving billions away to promote far right and "alt-right" political movements and individuals, to help them rise up in power by funding their campaigns as well as helping them make business connections.
Tommy Robinson is one of the people that he has given money too, as well as others such as Nigel Farage.
Mr. Bannon, who made his money from hedge fund investment sees himself as "the Devil" and counter part to George Soros. Mr. Soros is also a wealthy billionaire political philanthropist, who has been labelled "God" as he is doing the opposite by funding people who hold liberal democrat political view points and fighting for human rights.
Mr Soros, as well as Mr Bannon are both extremely wealthy and influential individuals connected with like minded people. Both men also have some connection with using the Media to spread their political view points (propaganda).
Both men are playing God so to speak with the rest of us being innocent passengers bystanders.
The difference between the two camps however, is that people who subscribe to Abrahamic moral values such as those promoted by Mr. George Soros often hold Abrahamic moral values and follow a Godly moral code, so are generally more honest than those who follow viking (rape, murder and pillage) alt right moral constructs.
As those who follow alt right / white supremacist neo nazi perceptions of the world, often follow a very strange moral code that is based around their white supremacist perceptions of the world and what is deemed right or wrong in their opinion or perception. This is significant, as world view and personal perception does determine how we act and what choices we make for not only ourselves, but others who we share the universe with as well as the world.
Far right people are capable of some extremely cunning strategies especially in war fare and politics, which perhaps would be viewed by those with Abrahamic moral constructs as dishonest.
The original nazi propaganda for example was designed specifically to demonise, bully and dehumanise their Jewish victims, so as to make it acceptable or feel right for the Germans to then murder their victims and steal all their belongings so as to become rich with ease. After all, it was the Jewish people who had a great deal of the wealth, so were the people to steal from if you were to steal.
The fact that the reason why the Jewish people had the wealth was because they were forced to develop banking, because people had ostracised them and forbid them from employment in other areas, makes it even worse. Ironically a lot of the hatred for the Jewish people has been created as some Christians blamed the Jewish people for killing Jesus Christ, the Jew.
The major problem for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder with subscribing to an alt right moral code is that
we are considered faulty goods and thus not supreme, or part of the white supremacist race, even if we come from Nordic Aryan Blood line (as i do for example, my ancestors dating back eventually to Norway).
So even if I were to subscribe to alt right political views (which i do not. I try and hold as little prejudice as possible in any form), I would eventually be weeded out and murdered if the alt right took over, for no other reason by because i suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with the rest of the genetically imperfect and those who for what ever reason oppose the alt right to rise, that includes people who suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder.
So, where as i personally can see the logic and potential to create economic efficiency in a single world order that unites the world people as one, I am afraid i refuse to vote for isolationism based on prejudice or even to save money on tax (which inevitably is one of the reasons why so many people in the UK want BREXIT, so they do not have to pay to help other countries to recover from such things as economic crisis's. People are selfish after all).
I also do not vote for any one who wants to murder me or the rest of the people with ASD, or anyone else based on prejudice.
I do think that the isolationist strategy is what is regarded as the divide and conquer strategy that can be used to weaken factions (destroy alliances between various factions) so as to make individual factions easier to conquer, and ultimately as an overall long term plan in the great game, makes taking over the world easier and more likely.
Personally, i am disheartened to see such strategies to continue.
I would have hoped that the human race had moved on from this place by now, and would have started to attempt
to unify but for the opposite reasons.
For humanitarian reasons, to eradicate poverty, problems with drug addiction and over all suffering / hardship.
With the aim to unite all people in a world that has no boundaries, where we all can live together in peace without prejudice or inequality.
But the human race, troublesome by nature it is.

What you say sounds really scary.
this is an apt demonstration on how fascism gets started.
Hitler was not that imaginative or innovative. He basically copied Mussolini rebuilding of Italy and FDR's new deal following the 1929 stock market crash in the US. Both involved large scale public works to solve unemployment.

The first is obvious political agenda against any right that is not the ruling party. They even use an argument that voting for Konfederacja would give more power to Koalicja Europejska - a center party, the main oponent of PiS. They have been doing things like this since their very beginning. BTW, Konfederacja did not reach the threshold and did not get to the EP. They lost votes since the previous elections.
The second - calling all the 60000 people present at Independence Day celebrations "nationalists" is simply false. A lot of people I know were there and they didn't even see or hear those shouting the alleged slogans. Of course the radicals got the media attention but they were a margin, not even visible from inside the crowd.
In the third, they made it appear a religious issue, but in reality, Ukrainians (and other former Soviet states residents) are just geographically and culturally close to Poland so Poland is often their first choice for immigration - unlike those who would need to be forcibly relocated here with the "quota" programs. Chechens are muslims from the former Soviet Union and they often choose Poland, too.
Living in a big city, I see growing immigration from other parts of the world, too. If they can find job, they stay regardless of their religion. I never saw any problematic situation about race and I live in a spot where you hear lots of different languages on the street.
I believe media get quite false picture because in Poland some topics are not taboo. We just let concerns about not wanting immigrants appear in public discussion, instead of sweeping it under the carpet and pretending there are no problems at all, everybody happy.

My understanding is that Poland, Romnaia and Hungary were depopulated of Jews and gypsies by the Nazis making these countries the most ethnically homogenous in Europe. After years of homogeneity there is obviously fear of immigrants from outside of Europe which explains the result of the recent European elections.
What is strange is the trauma created by the Nazis why the Poles would even contemplate flirting with the far right?

Because our local far right is focused mainly on low taxes, strong army and extensive personal freedom. They typically don't propose any war or ethnic cleansings.
Personally, I'm far more worried by our center and center right than by those 2% of citizens who vote for radical right every elections since the 1990s.

Your dominant party is PiS which is labelled a right wing nationalist party (they equate nationalism with pro-Polish patriotism) who's leaders (somewhat worse than Trump) are against immigration from non-European countries because they will spread infectious disease, will invade Poland like a menace and build mosques. I think this is fertile ground for more extremist elements to feel emboldened hence the 60,000 right wing march.
I'm far more worried by something totally different:
Our two main parties, PiS and PO, openly promote hatered. Not towards some immigrants or other minorities, no. This doesn't catch in the mainstream. Towards the other party and those who vote for them.
And it catches. They really spread a lot of hate, targeting the-other-party-voters. This is a real issue you can feel here. They generate a conflict, dividing the society.
Actually, something quite similar I see on WP concerning Trump supporters and Trump haters.
What is ironic, our main parties started from being quite close to each other on the political spectrum. They are not divided by political programs, they are divided by mutual hate. And they have almost all the voters! That worries me a lot.

The center does its best to avoid adressing any of the problems that concern either the right or the left - or they sometimes do some erratic, superficial movements that hardly help anything.

It goes to prove the old maxim “Those who don’t study (and learn) from history, are doomed to repeat it.

You got me there...
I used to lean heavily to one side. It's not like I didn't know of their faults, but I was under the impression that they were smaller than the faults of the opposing side, so that's why I took that side. However, as I've followed politics inside and outside of my country, I've come to the conclusion that the side I rooted for earlier getting too much power might very well affect my life and values way more negatively than I ever thought, hence the retreat to the middle. I know the middle has a bit of a reputation of not doing anything, but who says it has to remain that way? Maybe we can change it; maybe we could make our own political party in the middle called "the reasonable ones."
(The last part is a joke, but the thing about those in the middle actually doing something in the future is not.)
Unfortunately (and I don’t care what country you’re in) there’s no such thing as reasonableness when it comes to politics. John Foster Dulles couldn’t have said it any better: “If you’re not for me, you’re against me.” He was speaking, of course, of ‘Murcia, but it holds true of ANY nation.
