Wow.
Thank you, but I must be honest and say that no one could possibly be as brilliant as me,
Not even myself.

Who is the other demigod, btw?

Your joking right? 8O

I prefer to have claims verified, no joke.
Sorry Pepe, sometimes your attitude makes it impossible to tell what you actually believe and what you're mocking. It makes it hard to take anything you say seriously so I just gotta treat you like a less-than-skilled comedian before going back to engaging with people who seem like they might be serious.

Ouch! 8O

Firstly, I don't mock.
Quote:
mock

tease or laugh at in a scornful or contemptuous manner. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=mock

I joke.
I am rarely sarcastic.

" " is usually a give-away.
That is why I used emojis.

And I often do something like <facetious mode on>, <serious mode on>, etc.

I thought it was obvious that my saying verification of a source is only required for one side of the political divide, was irony.
I will be more careful in future.

First off, generally I like you. There's times your attitude is grating (and at least some of the time this is on me for not appreciating in the context, but if a bunch of people all agree it's probably not on us all of the time...) but overall I appreciate your wit and contributions.

When you're both making serious points and pisstakes, especially when you're staking out an additional position that complicates a more binary/simplified argument, the combination of all of those makes it a lot to parse and a lot to comprehend. While the pisstakes are also appreciated, if it's all delivered together without any real attempt to organize it it becomes overwhelming to try to respond to. Among things, one is less likely to invest effort into supporting something you've said if they're worried something else is intended to tear them a new one or satirize their arguments.

I'm less bothered by the being satirical than what Ezra's mentioned, but pretty much lockstep with the idea that it sometimes distracts from the point you're making.

We don't always notice each other's shifts of tone even when the poster feels certain it should be obvious. This might be a general observation here.

If it's who I'm thinking of, it's an older guy who hasn't posted much recently but the username is escaping me. His posts are 'pretty' but resemble creatively arranged word salad.

I don't remember his username. His avatar is a picture of a smiling man next to a woman. Perhaps a picture of himself and his wife.

You both needlessly employ a tiresome "look how brilliant I am" routine.

It's not the sort of thing that registers with the autistic mindset.

It's like someone doing stand up comedy routine to an audience of cats.

aghogday

That's who I was thinking of too, although I find most of Pepe's posts comprehensible, they're never just word-salad like most of aghogday's. I might realize I'm missing the point or think two lines aren't in agreement, but each line by itself has some meaning.

I had a dream Trump was crying his eyes out of how horrible he had been as president. And in the dream I was one of the people that had to help comfort the poor sod so he didn't end himself. It was a very sad dream but in reality it does not stop the evil that Trump tries to commit...but the dream almost made me feel bad for him until I remembered he's the one who instated it. But the reality is Trump is the real pig, big fat pig he is...

Yes that is the one. Totally different styles, but both employing too much style.

I had a dream I was playing golf with Trump once. Quite odd as I have never played golf.

Did you tell him to go put on his big-boy pants and fix the problems if he wants to not be viewed as the president who makes Carter and Nixon seem not so bad by comparison.

What most people don't know is that Trump is a psychic vampire who feeds off the hatred he receives.

If everyone started heaping love on him he would shrivel away.

So, just adding my own conspiracy theory...

Trump doesn't know he only has less than a $2k stake in the company. Once he realizes he's going to stop mentioning Hydroxychloroquine so much and start mentioning the other one he's brought up a few times more often.

I'm only kidding. I hope.

I just reread the wording in the article and they suspect his trusts may hold significantly more stock in the company now than they did at their last disclosure. Could have been $1500 before and $15M now, or any other number, as it’s impossible for anyone to know. But chances are it’s not as low as $1500.

Don Jr is actually the major stockholder of Hydroxychloroquine.
