"Trump is the most dangerous person we could have as preside

I take it you aren't a fan of Trump.
Derailing this thread before anyone gets a chance to discuss the topic?
Embattled Labor senator Sam Dastyari has quit Parliament after a series of revelations about his links to Chinese Communist Party-aligned interests in Australia.
Trump is pushing hard against china, unlike the Australian Labor Party.
He has gained some respect from me for that.
And he is more "compos mentis" than Joe Biden.
America could undoubtedly do better than Trump,
But it could do worse, imo.

Chinese billionaire Huang Xiangmo allegedly took cash to the former NSW Labor boss Jamie Clements at party headquarters
A NSW Labor MP, who once gave a speech declaring China needed a "new world order" to reach its potential, has praised President Xi Jinping's "unswerving leadership" in handling the coronavirus crisis. https://www.smh.com.au/politics/nsw/uns ... 54fbg.html
The Chinese are weaponising federalism by driving a political wedge between the federal and state positions on the Belt and Road Initiative.
That’s the conclusion to be drawn from Daniel Andrews’ recent announcement that Victoria has struck a new deal with China under its BRI.
Last month, Andrews signed an agreement with China’s National Development and Reform Commission that will focus on infrastructure, innovation and trade development and market access. This agreement followed Victoria’s memorandum of understanding with China on the BRI last year.

The federal government hasn’t signed up to the BRI, saying that it will consider individual projects on a case-by-case basis.
That’s because Canberra knows the BRI is a strategic path to assert China’s growing power. Scott Morrison is urging our Pacific Islands neighbours to be cautious in their dealings with China. A large state government signing up to BRI undermines that message to our Pacific family.
As my colleague at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Michael Shoebridge, has pointed out, the federal government has agencies and insights that Victoria just doesn’t have in matters relating to security and foreign investment.

Keating told the Australian newspaper’s strategic forum on Monday: “The Australian media has been recreant in its duty to the public in failing to present a balanced picture of the rise, legitimacy and importance of China”.
Instead it preferred “to traffic in side plays dressed up with cosmetics of sedition and risk”.
His attack comes amid debate about China’s refusal of visas to two members of federal parliament, Andrew Hastie and senator James Paterson, who have been strong critics of the Beijing’s regime. https://theconversation.com/paul-keatin ... ina-127222
Hastie and Liberal senator James Paterson were due to travel to Beijing in December with Labor MP Matt Keogh as part of a study tour.
The pair were denied visas after being critical of Beijing, with the Chinese embassy in Canberra calling on the two Liberal MPs to “repent and redress their mistakes”.

But Hastie said he has no intention of scaling back his criticism of Chinese attempts to exert influence in Australia and human rights abuses against Uighurs in Xinjiang province. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/ ... y-tour-ban
Actually it is the other way around. Those who vote are the ones responsible for those who are in office. The voter is therefore responsible for their conduct. The voter is the one who created the situation. It is the person who did not put them into office who has the right to complain about the mess the voters created.

No. As is evidenced by the s**t show that happened in your country when so many people didn’t bother showing up to vote.

It would not have mattered if twice as many people picked the same politicians. And s**t shows are hardly limited to this country. Now I am not saying people should not vote. I am saying those who had no hand in picking the s**t show politicians, have a right to complain about the s**t show others created.

He is the president....how can you say such disrepectful things
Just joking he really is a piece of s**t but what do you expect to do about it?
I mean he really is the the baby charge of the nation but its not fitting, I mean why should a baby be in charge even if they call it the great baby...it still may very well betray them,

Line of thought:
• Every human that lives within a given country is affected directly or indirectly by the action of whatever political system is in place.
• Humans tend on the whole to form views as to what they are aware affects them and their lives.
• Humans also have a drive to share and discuss said views with each other.
• Is not, therefore, objecting to any given human doing so on any grounds whatsoever akin to commanding the tide to stop coming in?
An exercise in self-frustrating futility.

I agree but we have nothing better...Berne dropped out, all hope is lost. Biden is a s**t canidate and I don't want to vote for him...hes even a rapist apparently just like ole trumpy. Good god I wish the both of them would just get the virus and die. Also I kind of think I should get a plague mask to wear at the grocery store...because it looks menacing and maybe I could clear out the isles before shopping in them with wearing something like that, but IDK. I just figure it would look menacing enough people would not want to come in the isle we are shopping in.
But regardless either way I still plan to get a plague mask to wear around I think it will be awesome, anyone else want to get a plague mas? Seriously we should all get plague masks to wear around in public...it would be awesome...and fun I mean can you honestly have gone to the renaissance fair without seeing a plague mask Like come-on its the greatest thing. So I figure we should all start wearing plague masks, for no other reason than they look so cool and menacing. LIke maybe you can put a plague mask on and everyone in the grocery store will avoid you...probably a good technique if you just need to make a quick purchase. so like maybe all of use who take this thing seriously should just start wearing plague masks just to freak out the public.. I think it would be funny but I am a twisted little a**hole who has been stuck in my apartment with no job for a month so forgive me if I just want to get drunk and be crazy(in my own home of course)....but still I just want to be drunk..and forget of it all. I have even done that a little bit already...

You are as partisan as anybody on this forum
And yet immesurably less partisan than some, from what I see posted.

You got him because the American aristocracy is corrupt.
Trump didn't win the election.
Clinton lost.
