Usually SSI only.

I did the research. You wouldn’t qualify for SSD because both your parents are alive.

Or perhaps you do if you’re legally blind....meaning you have only 20/200 vision in your best eye, even corrected by the best lenses.

Mrs. Fnord and I file our taxes jointly.  But because our individual incomes top the 70k$ threshold, we received less than the full 1.2k$ each.  Still, what we received is useful.

It’s 150k for couples. If you make less then 150k should have got 2400

Disabled kids get their parents benefits amount for ssdi for some time limit.
My parents didn’t work so I got ssi. Now I get ssdi.

As usual with Trumpty Dumpty, it’s a g!ddamn scam! I have been trying for the last 3 days to enter my bank’s routing and account info on the IRS website. It keeps kicking me out with an error message, and asking me to try later. The error message that appears in small print at the bottom of the screen makes no sense at all.

What really pisses me off is Treasury already has my account information, since SSA deposits my disability check there every month. I know IRS already has that info, so why can’t they deposit the funds in the account I’ve already specified?

If it weren’t for the fact I still need to purchase living room furniture, as well as curtains, and pay off a couple of debt collectors from 5 years ago, let alone find a psychologist that would write me a script for a emotional support animal (preferably a basset hound or a bloodhound, except the County Housing Authority has weight restrictions, imposed by HUD on what kind a support animal I’m allowed to have (which, if I can afford the additional deposit and rent, Might end up being a Shetland sheepdog), I’d tell Trumpty Dumpty to stick his stimulus check up his f!cking fat orange ass!

The website just gives you status of it. They be sending it to your account ssa uses provide you weren’t declared on someone’s taxes.

My mom and brother won’t be getting it.

Some people I know have gotten theirs.I haven’t.I don’t make enough to file taxes on SSI but used the free turbo tax site so the IRS would have my bank account number.

Non-working qualify too.

Non-tax paying qualify too.

Most of the unemployed are likely low wage service workers who don't pay any federal taxes.

Self-funded retirees get nothing, as per usual.

Retirees qualify too.

As long as you make less than $100,000 or a couple makes less than $150,000.

I retired at 50.
I'm not of pensioner age, yet.
Ergo, I have been skrewed for a very long time though missing out of these stimulus offerings.
Story of my life.

Maybe things will change, for the better for me, when I reach the official retirement age?
Something to look forward to, apart from kidney failure, strokes, heart attack, cancer, loss of limbs, dementia, etc, etc, etc.

How do you qualify for this, if you’re not even an American Citizen, living on American soil?

Your profile suggests your’re Australian. Talk to your leaders in Canberra.

Why?
I am not in financial difficulties.
I don't need it.

And I am used to being skrewed.
It wouldn't feel right if I wasn't.

People with disabilities who have never worked are eligible for SSDI when a parent who has worked long enough to qualify for social security retirement benefits retires or dies.

The amount of SSDI the person receives is dependent on the parent's earnings.

If you get SSDI and are not claimed as a dependent by someone else, you are eligible for the stimulus check and you do not need to do anything to get the money. It will be automatically deposited in your bank account.

If you get SSI and are not claimed as a dependent by someone else, you are eligible for the check, but you do have to request the check by filling out some form.

If you have SSDI and SSI, you are treated the same as if you have SSDI only.

People who get SSDI and SSI get the same amount of money as someone who gets SSI only, just that some of the money comes from a different bucket.

The stimulus check income is not supposed to affect any benefits.

Meistersinger, if you are getting SSDI, you shouldn't have to do anything to get your money; it should just show up in your bank account.

In America, do people who ARE still working(and have not had their hours cut), receive $ from .gov??

Or is the $ ONLY for those who lose their job(or have hours cut)??
