I have heard , repeatedly, that Biden is planning to simply open the border gates to the 1,000 + people who marched for miles to demand entry.
Considering that there are no plans to test a single individual for Covid, I don’t want that to happen.

Biden has already broken his promise to send Americans $2,000 checks immediately if the democrats won Georgia. 10 days since he took office and still no checks. Not the best way to start to your presidency, by not keep your promise in the middle of the worse crisis America has faced since the great depression.

A big part of that is with Joe Manchin threatening to vote against it. So Biden has bargained it down to fourteen hundred (the feeling that the six hundred we already got makes it two thousand). Going after Trump for trying to overthrow Biden's election has in the meantime forestalled the regular work by the house and senate, which would normally entail sending out stimulus payments.

He is not a good guy. That's all I'm saying.

That doesn't sound accurate, I have heard they do want to make it easier for illegal immigrants to become legit. But to my knowledge there is no proposed policy of just opening the border gates and letting tons of people in without covid tests. As far as I know what Biden has done so far will help protect immigrants who are already here it does not do much for the asylum seekers, that is not to say he won't go further to extend more help to them as well but currently there has only been policy changes to help immigrants who are already living here without legal status.

Certainly quieter, anyway.

I think it was Christ who said "he who is without sin cast the first stone".

There is nobody in politics who has a clean record. It amused me when people on the right claimed that Tulsi Gabbard was a "decent" democrat with a clean record. She is far from it (for reasons I have posted on numerous occasions so I don't want to bore people). There is virtually no other democrat that the GOP would consider a "good guy" so it's a silly criteria for a leadership role.

On January 4th Biden promised $2,000 checks immediately. It might be my literal thinking, but that doesn't mean days or weeks later. There are several republicans on record saying they support $2,000 checks if it were in a stand alone bill.
With widespread voter support for the bill, Biden has no excuse for not getting the checks out.

It still needs to be passed by the house and senate. Biden isn't a despot.

Wait? you mean he's not going to call for a military insurrection if he doesn't get his way? what would 74 million Americans think of that?

It seems that you didn't even watch the video.

The video makes it clear that their is support from the republicans for a $2,000 stand alone bill.

And I don't even see Biden fighting for this bill at all. It is 11 days into his presidency and he made a promise to fight for $2,000 checks. He broke that promise, and has no excuse for not getting the checks out to Americans who have been in need of that money for many months now.

This is all on Biden for not fighting for Americans.

You said it yourself - Biden's been in office for just eleven days. Trump had been in office for four years, and I'm still waiting for that unbelievably stupendous healthcare plan of his. In other words, I don't think hardly enough time has passed to say that Biden broke any promise, yet.
