True, but they only gotten involved AFTER the Germans invaded them. They didn't give a damn when France was occupied or when the Luftwaffe was dropping bombs on London nightly.

After the USSR got involved, the US extended Lend-Lease to them. Not just military weapons, but food, clothing, and other provisions. The Soviets desperately needed it.

In fact, Stalin had signed the Soviet-Nazi Pact with Hitler, fully believing that they would divide Europe up between them. Stalin was so taken by Hitler that he purged his military at the time, thinking he was safe from Germany.

Ummm you have an odd obsession with communism which is somewhat out of date. All western countries are neo-capitalist. Even worker based parties which are mislabelled socialist are actually free-market and support big business. Unions who are the target of conservative parties are often in cahoots with business owners.

Claiming communism is something we need to be worried about in 2021 is like saying cannibalism might make a comeback, Even communist China has embraced capitalism. What is making a comeback is authoritarianism of the right wing flavor and there is valid concern over that. Try and avoid flipping the narrative because Andrew Bolt, Peta Credlin or 3AW told you.

As we all know, America is moving more and more to the political left and part of the reason, based on my sources, is because the young haven't been educated about the atrocities of the communist past.

Take it up with my sources, not me. 8)

Those countries that had experienced the horror of communism lacked any democratic political or social tradition, and so I seriously have my doubts that we'd ever live under some sort of Pol Pot regime in any western country.
Young people today are veering left because they've come to realize that a rising tide doesn't raise all boats, that too many people have been allowed to sink and drown while the few get rich off of it, and genuinely feel that capitalism is a colossal con game and that they've been getting scammed.

Academia is indoctrinating the children of today as were the teachers in Nazi Germany. 8)
Ironic, huh? ;)

I've continually heard that. But what does the right want taught? They've said they don't want the founders smeared with enslavement of African Americans, or with genocide of Native Americans, more concerned with indoctrinating children with how great America is than with actual history. There is still a movement that wants to rewrite history of the American Civil War, in which the south secedes due to heavy taxation from the north, with zero mention of slavery being a cause.

To put it simply:
When I was in skool, no teacher tried to tell us what politics we needed to embrace. 8)

I don't see that happening at my daughter's school at all.

Which is why, today, when Western Europeans say things like, "The Americans didn't do anything in WW2; the SOVIETS saved us!" it's like they've fully re-written history to serve some modern-day purpose.

Schools around the world have organised climate change protests, for example. 8)

Haven't seen anything like that at her school. But if they did, I'd have no objection.

Are you saying you don't mind teachers taking over your parental responsibilities in instilling values in your child?
