Apparently, you want it to be a global conspiracy.

I thought this post was worth revisiting.

Imagine the reaction should both claims turn out to have been correct :)

How come my reply was less black than Fnords?

It happens when people believe their words are more important than anyone elses, and so add "color" tags to ensure their words are more prominent - It comes across as rather conceited, in my opinion.

The whole Truth? Shall we start with quantum chemistry or history of pre-Incan religions? Or maybe my neighbour's hairstyle?

But, more seriously, what is more likely for Fauci, WHO and others like them:
being focused on other aspects of the problem (like damage control) and not wanting more political fights in their way, that's not their job
or
being part of the conspiracy?

Isn't that a little naive?
Having studied human psychology, I am comfortable with my assessment.

The obscenity.
Obscuring the Truth so something worse might will happen because of the stupidity of the naked ape.

Perhaps it is the coronavirus doing it?
Have you ever considered that?

Trying desperately to get back on topic.

I've studied Occam's razor.
If something can be explained by laziness, greed or stupidity, this explanation is prefered over organized conspiracy.

A troll might just say that's the excuse of an intellectually lazy person unwilling to expend the trivial effort required to do the research.

You can't win.

Neither does The Daily Mail. It astounds me that some people don't know that.

Well at the risk of sounding like another conspiracy nut, why should we take China's word on anything in regards to this virus? Especially when their government has been spreading propaganda in their own country claiming that the virus originated in the West and was brought to them through contaminated imported foods which the rest of the world knows is a big lie?

I just don't understand why people are being so quick to give China the benefit of the doubt knowing this.

@Cornflake where did that graphic come from? I ask because one often comes across accusations that some "fact-checking" sites actually exist to further some Soros-sponsored agenda. Apparently Snopes was recently accused of publishing some very bad journalism purported to reflect research that was never actually conducted (sorry I forget the details and don't feel like trying to corroborate).

Using US politics as an example, if you find that some fact-checking site consistently rates sources that support Donald Trump to be less "factual" than sources supporting Biden, must we automatically assume there's an underlying bias?

Frankly I think ALL American news is biased. Period. But whenever I read it I'm feeling like I have to pick it apart to decide what is a actually true for myself and form my own opinion instead of being influenced by some political right wing/left wing agenda.

No need to trust China on that. As I said, irresponsibility + coverup is not really an unlikely scenario.
You just don't need to believe in global conspiracies to be caucious around un-transparent governments.

From the linked article.

Quite often images can be isolated and posted separately through a right-click on the image then "Open Image in New Tab" from the drop-down menu. The URL on the new tab can then be used for posting.
In this case what's displayed in the linked article as one image turns out to be two.

Those instructions are as in Firefox 91.0.2, although they were available before that version.
YMMV with other browsers, but I expect a similar functionality exists there too.

Where did I suggest it was an "organised conspiracy"?
It was some a***holes protecting their butts.

Most people don't want to be remembered, in the anals annals of history, for being responsible for the deaths of over 4 million people and counting. 8O
