Weaponized mice? Obviously China is behind it.

Just kidding.

Rabbits and mice become the cataclycismic plagues in Australia because they are alien species. Mice and rabbits dont get this insanely out of control in the northern hemisphere lands of their origins (Eurasia, North America) because in those places there are both native predators and native parasites to keep them in check.

Yes it shows how uninformed the PETA people are that rabbits and foxes are being shot and poisoned in massive numbers but they don't seem to mind.

Gosh. Unbelievable that farmers and PETA are joining forces. And unbelievable that the government is using napalm.

Well, when even PETA and the farmers both agree that the government is acting guano insane, that's probably a sign that the government isn't taking a wise course of action.

I imagine the EPA, greenpeace and environmental groups are going to have something to say about killing wildlife, not to mention poison induced birth defects in the local farm population.

I don't like using poisons either.
The effect on animals other than the target one is a massive disadvantage but difficult to prevent.
Even more so with mice being a small creature that's predated by many other larger ones, the poison works it's way into lots of other animals.
With this plague out of control there's not much else that can be done though.
Coming from the country, rats and mice would be caught on sight and given a bump on the head. Swift and effective and no poisons needed. Unfortunately this is now way out of control.

The idea of bumping rats and mice on the head is hilarious to me. I only ever really see rats in work and it's usually an unwritten rule to try and kill on sight by any means possible. One guy picked up a rat via it's tail and flung it full force into a concrete floor but my personal weapon of choice are M20 bolts.

The most effective method of killing rats and mice is something called a rolling trap where rats or mice walk onto a baited roller suspended above a large container full of water that they can't get out of. They basically fall in and drown and can be used all day and night catching dozens at a time.

Still though............I think even that would struggle with all those mice.

I think the sheer numbers would make this form of trap very limited in its application.

Monty Python was way ahead of it's time; they found a musical use for mice....

With so many mice available whole albums could be created.

you're thinking of "bath salts".

Crystal meth, like crack, would make them do things like: knock their own front teeth out so they can suck on pipes better, not eat, and ...prostitute themselves on street corners!
