Who is Anthony Fauci?

I know he has something to do with Covid politics but what is his job?

Dr. Anthony Fauci made $417,608 in 2019, the latest year for which federal salaries are available. That made him not only the highest paid doctor in the federal government, but the highest paid out of all four million federal employees.

Anthony Stephen Fauci is an American physician-scientist and immunologist who serves as the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the chief medical advisor to the president.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Fauci was one of the lead members of President Donald Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force. In the early stages of the pandemic, The New Yorker and The New York Times described Fauci as one of the most trusted medical figures in the United States. Currently Fauci is the Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden, officially appointed in 2021

I believe that is because the consequences of finding out China did it intentionally is to horrific to think about. The reaction to an intentional action that killed so many and ground the world economy to a halt would be all out war. That might kill more people and damage the world economy more then the pandemic. America could not defeat a small Asian nation, what would be their chances against China?

President Biden on Tuesday ordered US spy agencies to do a 90-day investigation into whether COVID-19 was released by a Chinese lab — with the White House saying it isn’t ruling out anything, including deliberate release of the virus.

Biden made the abrupt pivot after his administration insisted for weeks that it would defer to the World Health Organization for answers on how the pandemic started.

Biden said in a statement that two theories predominate current US official thinking. Those theories are that the virus emerged naturally from animals or escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China.

“As of today, the U.S. Intelligence Community has ‘coalesced around two likely scenarios’ but has not reached a definitive conclusion on this question,” Biden said.

Here is their current position: ‘while two elements in the [intelligence community] leans toward the former scenario and one leans more toward the latter – each with low or moderate confidence – the majority of elements do not believe there is sufficient information to assess one to be more likely than the other.’”

CNN reported on Tuesday that the Biden administration closed down a probe into whether COVID-19 originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Biden said that a lack of transparency from China may have hindered efforts to understand the origins of the virus, which has killed nearly 600,000 Americans and caused massive social and economic disruption.

“Back in early 2020, when COVID-19 emerged, I called for the CDC to get access to China to learn about the virus so we could fight it more effectively. The failure to get our inspectors on the ground in those early months will always hamper any investigation into the origin of COVID-19,” Biden said.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—After a brief temporal anomaly occurred in Washington, D.C., causing a version of Dr. Fauci from just two weeks ago to materialize in the city, the current Dr. Fauci got in a heated debate with the manifestation of himself from the past.

"The virus was created in a lab!" present-day Fauci said indignantly, causing past Fauci to wag his finger and shake his head emphatically.

"No, no, no, that's a deranged conspiracy theory!" past Fauci said. "It's practically alt-right! Didn't you check Snopes? Anyway, at least we can agree we should wear double masks forever."

"No, masks aren't necessary anymore!" said current Fauci. "We just wear them for political theater."

"That's insulting! They're absolutely not theater!" said early May Fauci.

At that moment, another version of Fauci suddenly appeared from March 2020, agreeing with current Fauci but taking it a step further, saying, "Masks are useless. They just make people feel better!"

Both of the other Faucis then ganged up on March 2020 Fauci, calling him an "anti-science mask denier."

Another Fauci then appeared, and then another, and then another, and all heck broke loose, with the Faucis screaming at one another and calling each other "Q anon crazies" and "progressive totalitarians," depending on the version of Fauci.

Finally, an uneasy truce was called, as all the Faucis agreed they at least all wanted the same thing: to stay in the spotlight forever.

Fauci still believes in a "natural" origin for Sars 2/COVID----but he has enough doubt to advocate a full investigation.

Biden has ordered such an investigation.

Most people who believe it was released from the lab also believe in a "natural" origin. Mr Fauci also has potential "conflict of interest" links related to the lab-release hypothesis, given he was responsible for some of the funding for the lab that people believe it escaped from, some of which was specifically related to the study of these types of viruses there.
