To be fair the term "white" to describe all people of "pure European origin" entered our vernacular in the 17th century to create a racial heirarchy constructed to justify the trans-atlantic slave trade. It was quickly adopted by all the players of the slave and concurrently entered the vernacular of Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish slave traders as well.

On that basis people who call themselves "white" are also technically perpetuating a hierarchical stereotype that is also offensive to PoC as it perpetuates an "ideal" invented to stratify society based on skin colour.

In that respect you are simply parodying an offensive term.

To help you understand the problem with the word...
Would you use a similar word to describe a person with black hair\black skin?
How about using a similar word to describe a person with brown hair\brown skin?
Or using a similar word to describe a person with dark hair\dark skin?

Why should any other hair\skin colour be treated any differently?

Also, the colour of the skin of the person using the word does not (and should not) detract from the negative meaning of a word. Otherwise we come to:
