Guy owns a company that hosts kiddie porn. His ownership of the company is confirmed, their involvement in hosting domains that either appeared to or were known for hosting CP is confirmed.

You can insist there's nothing to see here but that won't make it true.

The QAnon nuts are just going to call this fake news, even though they're willing to believe that a conman and dirty businessman was the country's greatest President, that the election was stolen from him, and that he will return to the White House at the right hand of God the Father almighty.

Did you read the article you posted? Mother Joes doesn't know for sure. They're just guessing. I don't have any interest in defending someone I know nothing about. But Mother Jones is making accusations based on very weak circumstantial evidence. Let me know when law enforcement starts taking an interest.

Two of the domains in that web include a common term related to CP, derived from lolita.

It's a selection of domains owned by N.T. Technology Inc.

I hope law enforcement takes an interest in this soon.

Unfortunately, Mother Jones might not have enough info to get law enforcement interested. As the quoted article says:

This is one of the problems with today's child pornography laws. There should not be any penalty whatsoever, or any danger thereof, for viewing child porn for the purpose of reporting it to law enforcement.

If people are afraid to view it even for the latter purpose, this greatly hampers law enforcement against those who actually make, distribute, and display child porn.

This does not even vaguely surprise me; I’ve surmised as much for about a year now.

Is anyone else here old enough to remember the Satanic Panic, back in the ‘80s-early ‘90s?? It was a defining feature of my childhood, and the preachers who screamed the loudest were also the ones who couldn’t keep their hands off the pubescent girls.

It’s equal parts projection and misdirection. Part of it is projecting their own behavior onto others. Another part is hiding their own misdeeds behind a smokescreen of finger pointing and absurdity.

Basically, if an absurd enough story is created (role playing Pagans in black vans sacrificing little blond girls, adrenochrome vampires, whatever), people will not only dismiss the absurdity, but also real things under the same subject heading.
