And I have Asperger's Sydrome.

I would never use it aloud, as an insult, saying to someone's face or even behind their back.
But within the privacy of my own mind I use that word derogatorily to describe other autistics, others so low-functioning that they are virtually infants in overgrown bodies. Monstrosites, really. For a few days I was forced to share very close quarters with a few such individuals. Never have I felt such disdain for my fellow man. To me, they were closer to animal than human. I was very angry at them for ruining what could have been a nice summer retreat. I was furious, outraged. Of course none of them asked to be the way they were. And the irony? They would never have a clue.

His problem is his need to make himself feel superior to a certain group, with a derrogatory (and quite inaccurate) label. "I can call them whatever I want." Really? So I guess Aspies can call him whatever they want, like a ret*d, and he'd have no problem with that? Come to think of it, after his remark, it kinda fits. Hopefully his employer will get wind of it and fire him.

As long as I can call you deliberately derrogatory names without you being offended, your point retains some validity.

I have one question.

Why does anyone even care what this yuppie thinks?

I care because this guy doesn't deserve to be on the show. He doesn't deserve to be with autistic kids.

But he's never worked with any. He's a fraud.

He hasn't???

There's a new thread about the foundation on Autism Vox with a link to a news report. The foundation is definately looking shady and it is being investigated now by the Florida attorney general's office. The foundation has a disconnected phone number, an abandoned office and a dead internet page.

Yours truly says "use the aluminum baseball bat."
