We can measure sea floor spreading , but the waves out from center, some show large movement in a day, the oldest are the largest, so England and New England could have moved apart 1,000 miles in a day.

Ice Ages were recent, and we are still in one. When the last wave ended sea level rose 440 foot, and is still rising. That is a flood in my book. It was caused by God, stories from the islands tell of a girl who talked back to her mother, and the gods flooded the world in punishment.

Evolutionists are but anti-Creationists, and Geologists are liers.

There's a story in the Book of Exodus about a guy who was stoned to death for gathering firewood on the sabbath. This seems a little extreme to me, but I wouldn't use it as a sole justification for dismissing every part of of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

I'm fascinated by the phenomenon of life, particularly by the mutability of the forms life takes. Life is full of deep and fascinating mysteries, everywhere you look. I'm not merely an anti-creationist.

The earth itself is fascinating too. What seems eternal and unchanging within the scale of a human lifetime is in reality a dynamic system undergoing constant change. The rising Himalayas are a car fender buckling as India is still in the process of slowly but inexorably crashing into Asia.

Like spring buds appearing and flowers becoming fruit, change enhances beauty, gives it context and meaning.

I'm not comfortable with dismissing everything that has been learned about the earth with the statement that geologists are liars.

That said, I'm inclined to believe that the mechanistic material processes we observe are subsets of some higher order process, but I don't understand it's nature and it's likely I never will.

We start with political reasons that then get taught as Science.

Problem one is Creation, as owned by Judaism, Christianity, Islam.

Most Universities were founded by religion, so no facts that cast new light of Holy Matters is likely to come forth.

The Story of Gilgamesh was found on clay tablets in 1903, translated, and left in the cellar of the British Museum, and only an excerpt was published in 1953. It contained the story of the flood, and the ark, but was 3500 years older than the Bible. It still caused contraversy when published. The whole text has never been published. No one had a problem with what it was, for Gilgamesh was known through other sources, but with it's age.

It seems the revieled word of God is plagerism. Add to that the Ten Commandants taken from the 124 chapter of the Egyptian Book of the Dead, and Job and much more from the text from the Temple of Baal at Ras Shamrin.

About the same time, 1953, Contanental Drift was published and denounced, and did not become accpted Science for another twenty-five years. Geologists denounced it following Uniformitarianism. They had been taught in church founded schools, and could not seperate fact from religion.

Veliskofski met the same resistance from Science, just for presenting evidence, and went on to write Creationist folly that sold. What he pointed out was evidence that did not fit the comfortable unchanging Earth which was both Creationist and Political.

It was much like this thread, trying to twist all history into a young earth theory, but then saying some things were caused by the ice age?

Freedom of religion does not cover telling lies to defend a fariy tale. Save it for Sunday School, not in the History, Geology, Biology, of my planet.

Science has to stand on fact not faith. Any mix of the two is garbage, just as in the computer term, GIGO.

When Science is a part truth to not conflict with religion, or agree with Politics, it is a lie.

The third paradigm is I do not agree with either gang and their truth.

Religion now denys the spiritual except as they sell their Branded version, and even refute their own texts, as they strive to incorporate Creationist Science into their myth.

Science denys almost everything, nothing has any meaning, and we are just meatbags that need our chemical adjusted by their new Religion, Psychobabble.

For some reason Science produces more "True Belivers" than Religion. Their view is mostly this was all proven hundreds of years ago, and is hence true for all time.

Science is not a fact, but a method of checking facts, and the Scientific Method seems to off with the spiritual side of religion.

To me they seem two political parties, both of which have put themselves in charge of my freedom of thought. Both want to limit the discussion.

I have been watching for fifty years, both are blocking progress. Invention and significant development still come from kitchen tables, and garages.

All thought starts with one person. Bell Labs hired those people and produced more than all the Universities of the day. When new directors at IBM got rid of the strange types, and kept the suits, the strange types started the computer revolution, without big business, Church, State, or University.

Since Science was taken over by Universities, who are controlled by Church and State, nothing much has happened in what was a lively field of discovery.

Tesla ands Edison were not products of the system, nor were Microsoft and Apple.

The system is out to produce people with a narrow and acceptable range of views, to work in factories for big business. We do not have factories anymore, and the future is the thought of one applied to the Internet.

The reply to the intellectual freedom of the era is Homeland Security, Secret Police to maintain order, who are bound by no rules.

So now I am not just a religious desenter, and someone who questions the very facts of Science, not being a gang memeber, I am an Enemy of the State.

Jews and Christians are calling for a Crusade, an endless war on terror, Islam, and claiming a religious right to get everyone else to obey, pay for it, and die for them.

For my generation it was Real Americans, The John Birch Socity, that sent my generation to Viet Nam to stop the spread on Communism.

65,000 of us died, and now the same Real Americans send factories to the ChiCom, and Nike makes shoes in Communist Viet Nam. They are still Godless Communistis.

The results were the rich got richer and we got dead.

So I do not see the lies of religion and science as harmless. It was the Christian Right that put Bush in office, and with all the science available, he lied and claimed Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Religion and Science are just politics.
