It is ironic. She became somewhat famous for carrying a gun to a child's soccer game, and ultimately she was murdered with a gun; perhaps not the same one (or perhaps so), but nonetheless. It's quite possible that that particular gun was the cause in the end - the articles I've read noted that she wanted to remove her husband from the lawsuit, which would mean he would get no part of the $1 million she wanted.

That's not to say that all gun owners will end up shot. It's not saying anything about all gun owners at all. It's just ironic in this case.

She was murdered by her husband, a law enforcement office, with his duty weapon that he possessed as part of his job, while she was sitting at the computer chatting with a friend. Sad coincidence, nothing more.

I guess we know why she felt she needed to be packing at that soccer game now... her hubby was batsheet crazy... sadly, no amount of firepower can save you if the person who ultimately kills you is a trusted member of your household...
