the majority of 'believers' have that argument or simply state "it's in the bible, IT HAS TO BE TRUE!" which is quite weak.
in my oppinion those that believe in god aren't a problem, those that worship him need something else to fill their spare time, and those that 'believe' in the bible need to understand science a little bit better. no offence meant by that but honestly speaking science does put the bible to shame.

I beleive in Him. I'd rather beleive in Jesus than any of this other BS in the world. God! give him chance. Atleast Jesus is or was a nice guy but like some people say, nice guys always come last and Why?
You think about how society is structured and of all the lies and you tell me you can see the truth. Why are people becoming more of b*****s and i can tell you terrorism will get worst. I dont know who for or where but it will.

People dont care about each no more. Sense of community and looking out for your neighbour, its gone. People are going to become sadder because all they are trying to do is work things out and never stop to think 'what is life really about' because unless the in Scientists have proved something. Well dont we just need everything substantiated Then its unproven, then re proven. It just goes on forever and it wont come to nothing. Nothing of what is really important. It is just 'maths' so to speak, numbers going on forever.
If people was to follow beliefs alike to Jesus and most others in world too. I beleive it would be alot better place and i dont mean twisting around phrases to suit themselves. Like in the Bible 'true love is pure, patient and kind' and 'that love is not proud and has no envy'
Pure love doesnt hurt no one. Love is the greatest gift of all The world so much needs more of that
First more Respect for each other but thats just not garna happen unless most people have a universal belief about something what ever shares and beleives strongly. I just get sick of people arguing over BS. It never goes no where. People just need to start caring and respecting people more.

Imaginary friends exist for ony one person. How can so many people have the same imaginary friend?

if i had an imaginary friend named billy and found out another hundred or so had an imaginary friend named billy, would that mean billy's real? no, it's just a coincidence.

people think jesus is real and spiritually 'with them' and so they think he's their friend, but it's actually just them thinking they have a firned in jesus.

if a child is told santa is real they'll believe it and so will hundreds of thousands of other children, yet that doesn't make santa real. the north pole is real and toys are real, but santa isn't. stars exist and so does bethlehem, but that doesn't mean jesus existed and even if he did it doesn't mean he's anyone's friend today.

what proof is there that anyone has a friend in jesus? it's just a dellusion that most people would rather believe than the truth. here's an example:
someone dying of cancer is scared of death, they get fooled into believing there's a heaven and so they no longer fear dying, but to get into heaven they need to sacrifice everything in their life otherwise they'll go to hell, which would make them feel worse, but they don't feel bad because 'they have a friend in jesus' and so they trick their own mind into believing it.

In what way?

the bibkle states adam and eve were the first humans along with their two children, one killed the other meaning adam and his sone had sex with eve to populate the earth, the same can be said about noah and his wife along with their three sons and their wives. science proves incest causes birth defects meaning we should all be handicapped beyong survival unless of course it isn't true.

the bible states god created the birds, the animals, and humanity at the same time yet science proves humanity hasn't been around since the beginning, and also science proves evolution which the bible forgot to mention.

I am posting really long threads like other aspies and so you should read it. I find it difficult sometimes to concentrate for that long.
It isnt easy for me to write that much and when i am tired and have a headache. I am making an effort.
Am i not following the rules to a thread like everyone else..? cause no one said nothing that i am or not.

i read your edited post and all i can say is it's quite terrible, believing in jesus because he's the lesser evil over a politition just proves that religionis for the weak minded and weak hearted.

as for love, i'm not religious but i can love, and i can 'love thy neighbour' if they're the type of person i get on with.

you don't have to be religious to be a good person, someone who's good for no reason is better than someone who's good for 'god', it just goes to show religionists are only good because they want to get into heaven or because it's what 'god' wants.

i'm a decent person because i want to be, simple as that.

why can't the universal belief be something fact based that has a meaning rather than a thousand year old book? why can't people live in the present instead of being fixated on proving fiction to be a reality as long as physics don''t apply?

no, science proves the bible is full of nothing but myths. science has proved the bible wrong in many areas meaning if you follow the bible you have to either be a stubborn idiot or extremely naive. science proves the earth's been about for millions of years, a story book says it's been around for six thousand. if you believe the story books you're not inelligent enough to realise what's infront of you.

I am starting think i really do just have autism like the psych diagnosed and not AS because i have two nephews that are like so focused and specific. It gives me a headache. I wish i was had AS diagnose instead of just autism because i think that sustained focus and intelligence is amazing.
Every aspie is different I guess but noticed alot like that, like my nephew with AS. I dont really think i am.

i believe everyone has three sides, physical (the body), emotional (the mind), and spiritual (the 'soul'). don't stereotype me unles you know me.

i believe in life after death and i believe in many spiritualistic things but god and jesus are not any of them, religion is a man made concept to give a pathetic uderstanding to what humanity didn't know, we as humans need to know everything and thousands of years ago people were idiotic enough to believe anything, and thus the bible was born.

i also hope that bit about jesus hiding dinosaur bones was a joke, i find it difficult understanding humour most of the time but would find it even funnier if you really believed that bit

Well I was close....
If Jesus existed I thought he was born in the spring, main reason being that the bible says that the angel appeared before shepherds while they where watching their flocks at night. Shepherds have no reason to look after their flocks at night time unless it was the brithing season, which is in spring.

Christmas should be a big birthday celebration taking place around that time of the year, not during Yule.

It doesn't matter the exact date of Jesus' birth. Christmas is Christmas all the same, even with all its pagan influence. People who celebrate Christmas aren't concerned about this. Funnily enough, it's the atheists, nonbelievers, and generic misanthropes who have all the facts.
