I think Trump is playing his own advocate. he lost the election (and knew it) so wanted to create some destabilisation. His call for a coup was tongue in cheek, he just wanted to keep his MAGA faithful angry.

If you watch any right wing podcaster (whether male or female) they are always angry and bitter about trivial things. Even before Trump ever considered joining the GOP you'll remember the deranged Tea Party movement which arose spurred on by GOP politicians attacking Obama with placards saying the most deplorable things. This was the group whom Trump used to sweep into power in 2016. It's my view Trump (or one of his kids) has designs on coming back in 2024 and he wants his MAGA faithful to maintain the rage with the false narrative that the election was stolen, Even Ivanka used the word patriots to describe the rioters. The language is deliberate and the motive is transparent.

Well, it turns out his cunning disguise didn't work. He's been arrested, and has been revealed to be a QAnon influencer from Arizona (sorry righty tighties who tried to claim he was Antifa). He has since told the FBI that he showed up at the capitol because Trump told him to... along with thousands of others.



There happened to be someone here in Portland wearing that same disguise during BLM and the Trump Lovers tried to say they were the same people by showing photos of both of them.

Turns out the dead cop and at least one other MAGA who died during the break in were crushed by a stampede of MAGAs

I don't know the situation, but what happened to the Antifa/BLM rioters?
I didn't see anything in the media.

People seem to be assuming they were punished more than if they were right-wing rioters.
Is this really the case or simply something that some people want to believe?

Based on what I understand, their protest wouldn't have achieved anything by disrupting proceedings.
The results were already digitally archived in a number of places.

To me, it seems it wasn't insurrection.
It was a riot in protest against alleged vote-rigging.
Nothing the rioters could have done would have changed the inevitable election win by the Democrats.

So it turns out this was all planned. It was mentioned on Parler where they planned it and now Apple has removed the app and Amazon is suspending them (they were their host service for their website). Parler has become like the dark web now.

If they want their free speech, they can move to the deep dark web where drug dealers hang out and pimps.

Twitter and Facebook are now marking stuff as "false information" because this has become very dangerous and they do not want people believing it when they read it.

I can sort of understand Nixon getting pardoned.....but Trump????

It won’t matter, though. Biden can’t pardon Trump if he’s convicted of state charges.

Why do people always confuse opinion with fact? This is an opinion piece.


I didn't say it was fact, I simply stated this is how it starts.


There is also a difference between personal cynicism and fact. Democrats are trying to oust the president right now. A pardon seem unlikely.


I'm cynical to be sure, but what I posted isn't cynicism. It's a valid point based on my undetstanding of how the system operates, and studying history.


I have seen the corruption of the system, also.
I'm surprised others can't.
