Sounds like propaganda.

I'm sure there have been heartless liberals. But considering that conservatives are all about blaming the poor for being poor, believing that racism doesn't exist anymore, and that providing public assistance only spoils people while it's somehow nicer to tell them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, I'd say it's much more likely for conservatives to be cruel and heartless.
Not propaganda, but historic fact.

Isn't it possible that "cruel" and "heartless" actions may be subjective matters, rather than objective?

For example: Some may say that denying entry to the USA to anyone who arrives (and locking up those who do not arrive through "approved" channels) is cruel\heartless, while others would suggest that forcing children to travel hundreds of miles through multiple countries, sometimes not even in the presence of a family member, is cruel\heartless.

It's sad when people become so attached to their own ideologies that they are unwilling to consider or discuss alternatives and instead deride anyone who's opinions do not tally with their own...

I never said I wasn't willing to discuss alternatives.
If the end of a journey of thousands of miles leads to safety, whereas you and your family are fleeing from violence and crushing poverty, I would hardly call that cruel, just hard.

Why am I thinking this will happen when hell freezes over? Trump is popular because he "acts" like a dick...in terms of conservative voters can you teach an old dog new tricks??

Conservatives believe they're the good guys.

They teach people to GET A JOB, rather than mooch off others.
They advocate DON'T KILL BABIES, rather than support abortion.
They ask others, OBEY THE LAW, rather than welcome illegal aliens.
They HONOR police, military, and the flag, rather show disrespect.
They follow what a GOD tells them, rather than leading an immoral life.

Based on just what I have read here on WP over the years, I have seen little evidence of that in posts made by those being called conservatives. Especially in contrast to how often such accusations are made by those identify as liberals.

It seems the liberal stance is most everyone who wants welfare should get it without question. Most ayone who wants to move to the US should be allowed to without question. And anyone who diagrees with that are heartless and racist.

And basically most anyone who is conservative or sounds conservative are by default greedy heartless supremacist racists.

I have not read anyone saying racism does not exist but rather that there is a great deal of hype and exaggeration regarding racism.

They also tell the poor and jobless to "eat cake"

Welfare and unemployment income has always been available under republican administrations.

The difference seems to be the republicans/conservatives are restrictive about who qualifies. Whereas the democrats/liberals seem to want a free-for-all.

A FREELOADING relative wants to move in with you.

What do you do?

a. Let him come (your stuff is his stuff)
b. Teach him that nothing in life is free, and he should learn to take care of himself.

You speak of conservatives in the third person. Why? It's obvious you are one yourself. It's been obvious.

I think it's because of my autism.

I am more of an observer, than a participant in life.

So, my writing may come across as someone who reads and repeats information, rather than someone who lives life.

Not everyone is into identity politics. Or feels that they have to be attached to an organization or party. You do not have to be either a conservative or a liberal. You can just be your independent self without being indoctrinated.

I was thinking that was the case with you as it is with me. It is like watching tv. Or observing stuff under a microscope or through a telescope.

For the first 8 years of my life no one could get me to respond to them or even to look at them. I doubt the average aspie can relate to that level of detachment ingrained during the formative years.

So how is it now. Everything and everyone still seems a bit unreal or alien or artificial like a matrix program or holodeck program or westworld setting to me. That being the best way I can describe it at the moment.

Through many “hard knocks,” I believe I have a fairly decent idea of what the “real world” is like.

Sometimes, though, I still ACT like I have no idea.

I understand it. I just do not feel connected to it.

I probably became more connected to it after my wife’s son passed away in 2006.
