I find it mildly insulting for you to say my past struggles are falsehood and let’s not forget, most if not all of us suffer from a mental condition on this forum. We all have struggles to overcome, more so then others. Some succeed, some don’t... Got to want it and fight for it, in order to achieve it.

There are SOME who cannot be helped because they refuse to do anything to help themselves. Even if you offered them a job earning 50 or 100K per year with full benefits to do something WELL within their current capabilities they'd turn it down, preferring instead to sit in their own s**t and bemoan the injustices heaped on them by those evil hardhearted conservatives or any other enemy.

frankly, like ASS-P [another poster here with similar cognitive issues and similar problems with cell phones not working on him], i'm not tech-smart enough to figure these techy things out. I need somebody HERE to show me step by step how to do these techy things, and like ASS-P nobody is interested. [I don't blame them] so I do without. last carrier I tried was tracfone, and it has absolutely no coverage in my part of the country but their little coverage map conveniently glosses that part over. so what chump change I got was utterly wasted. there is no info I can find that tells which carrier piggybacks on Verizon's networks. I could not get straight info if the Jitterbug or its little brother does, either, those are the cheapest plans. but if it won't work in my neck of the woods, it is just as much a ripoff as the tracfone was. after the retinal hemorrhage I can't afford to waste my $$ on a worthless phone.

Support forum for people with disabilities doesn't believe people have disabilities.

You couldn't make it up.

I'm high functioning. I have a good-ish job, but I understand that everyone on the spectrum has differing abilities.

I've known people in real life who have been hampered by their differences to NTs. They are very obviously impaired. How do you get past the interview stage if you are that so much "off"? I understand the struggle even though I haven't personally lived it.

I'm not a trump supporter, nor do I support Hillary, but I kind of agree with him on this one.... and that's all I'm going to say.

that 30 a month doesn't apply in my area. yes, there are exclusions when it comes to Verizon. there is no other service in my area so they take advantage of it.

Verizon charges $40 a month here, that's the minimum purchase. They also are the only reliable service so they have you over a barrel. It does NOT say that on the phone package when you buy it.Just contract free. After you give them a hundred bucks you can switch to another server, good luck getting a signal.
My daughter gave me her old iPhone it's unlocked so I can choose a server. The cheapest around here is Consumer Cellular,it's cheaper than Walmart. Its not going to have that great a signal where I'm at.I just need one in case I break down on the road so paying out the nose is not an option.

there doesn't seem to be a single flat rate for everybody. my sister pays $20/month for her basic service but it is subsidized/special plan that schoolteachers in the area get. where I live are reception holes that not even Verizon can penetrate.

The way I learn techy things, the occasional times I need to, is to watch youtube instruction videos. That way I can continually replay them until I get it right. Like a lot of learning disabled people I have to be able to work things out my own way. Sometimes it can take a few days before it clicks.

The best way to get the best phone and phone/isp coverage is to talk to someone at a store like Best Buy.

Some people are far too pessimistic for that to happen.
