No surprises there....

Oh okay. Sometimes a person is called defensive to indicate a negative behavior trait.

I might be “one of the 5.”

But I feel Ezra is okay.

We just disagree on Trump. He likes him for his reasons. And I dislike him for mine.

I don’t want to live in a place run by a man running amok.

I find natural disasters fascinating. The fact that the sea, if the Thermohaline circulation stopped, which it might if sea temperatures increased enough, everything in the ocean would go stagnant and nearly everything else in turn would die. Why do I find that so fascinating? I think it's the power behind it, that nature has. It's so f***ing amazing.

You're not even close to being one of the 5. I wish they were more like you.

I don't like him or hate him. Although I admit that occasionally I find him amusing.

I don't think I'm one of the big bad 5 either.

But I doubt he's what's best for your country or for that matter, the world. You need someone people can look up to and who commands some respect even from his political opponents - something which was the case with many of your Presidents of the past.

Fnord understands which 5 I'm referring to.
Although the number might not be exactly 5 give or take.

I have zero problem with people disliking trump. What is tiring is a handful that carp about him day and night nonstop. And flood News and Current Events with one anti-trump thread after another on a daily basis.

I thought I was pretty clear on that. So I don't see why those who don't do that would think I'm talking about them.

Like I said, endless daily Pro-Trump threads would be Annoying Spam too.

Same here except I'd rather be "fascinated" after I'm dead.

Interesting way of thinking, btw.
I like "interesting".

^^ I meant to say the ocean itself would go stagnant, not everything in it. I meant to say life in it would die. The lack of oxygen would make the ocean go stagnant.

And thanks. 8)

It's not that I want a mass extinction. It's that nature has this massive, natural destructive (and creative) power that I find extremely fascinating.

Greta's in the Nature's 10 list this year.

"Ten people who mattered in science in 2019. "

This makes her the nerdiest teenager, and the biggest teacher's pet that ever existed. The editors of the top scientific journal of the planet are on her side.

Ezra, if Trump (or... umm... Trudeau?) started bullying you online I'd criticize that too, even if you somehow ended up with a platform of the stature comparable to her. Honestly, I can kinda imagine you responding to it in the exact same way she did.

The OP of this thread told me I had the maturity level of a 12 year old because of my autism. He and another went on to make all kinds of derogatory and disparaging remarks about me as an autistic teenager when I was around Greta's age.

Others in the past who are likely on the don't say anything agaist Greata bandwagon, bullied me to a more extensive degree.

Therefore as someone who was bullied as an autistic teen by the same types who are expressing outrage over Greta, they come off as total phonies to me.

Just more of the usual fake outrage, virtue signalling and crocodile tears.

Have I behaved like OP has? We've certainly disagreed but I don't recall dismissing you or bullying you over your age or any other factors.

Maybe OP really is displaying fake outrage, that's not something I can determine. But to dismiss every single person who expresses discomfort or outrage over the treatment Greta has gotten from some angles ignores that many of those people haven't been unpleasant towards you and many of them would feel the same if you were in her situation. Some people are phony, some people are sincere but hypocritical, some of them are just sincere.

Judging the entire base of people who express discomfort or outrage over Greta being attacked on the basis of a few people you encountered here really does both that bloc of people as well as yourself a great disservice. They're not even the tip of the iceberg, they're the snow on top of the tip.

You’re the type of internet user trump and his people depend on - the fatigued who don’t want to hear about him. Fortunately there are enough others, 5 here you say, who have the righteous balls to hold him to account & discuss his wrongdoings. 8)
