I soak mine in a solution of Lysol for about half an hour then rinse it and let it dry. Will that do?

dom, are u sure that it's healthy to inhale Lysol? I don't think it's necessary to soak your mask.

They are doing very well for some reason.

You have another point - I was suspecting lysol may damage the fibres in the mask but lungs are even more important.
Even soap and water would do. Alcohol over 70% after drying, if you want to be extra sure. That won't leave lung-damaging residue.

I wish they were doing better....but they certainly are doing better than the NYC region at this point.

After being rinsed it didn't smell and anyway I was asked to take it out of a box at the Covid ward of the local hospital. I'd rather inhale Lysol than reach into that half empty box of masks again. Taking the mask could have been a point of inflection, I had to use sanitizer on my face after removing it.

Less than 10% who are tested in this region come out positive.

Yep even though we had the first US case I see Washington is doing quite well. And while stay at home is being adhered to fairly well, there is hardly any mask wearing.

"Coronavirus: psychologists warn of threat to mental health

People around the world face an increased risk of loneliness, addiction and other mental health issues as a result of new measures designed to protect the public from coronavirus, experts have warned.

Counsellors and psychologists have begun offering online video consultations to help patients cope with the problems associated with isolation, as workplaces are closed and people are urged to stay indoors and avoid meeting others.

Meanwhile, as some face the stress of potentially losing their jobs or having their salaries cut as a result of the crisis, others are dealing with the anxiety of having loved-ones stranded overseas.

Dr Reena Thomas, a clinical psychologist at Medeor Hospital in Dubai, said she had seen a “considerable increase” in mental health issues since the outbreak."

I'm in a good position.

Like many autistics, I don't get lonely or depressed, at my age.
And having been gang stalked for over 2 decades, I have learned to be independent, for most things.
Avoiding people has turned into a hobby.
And in virtually all aspects, my life hasn't changed with the lockdowns.

As I said in another thread,
Evolution has designed us for situations like this.

A thing that annoys me a tad is people saying the flu lasts a whole year and cv19 has only been around 3 months.

However the flu doesn't spread itself evenly throughout the year. Most of it takes place within a 3 month period during the mid to latter part of flu season.

Now maybe cv19 will keep skyrocketing through May, June, July, August. But I doubt it.

@Pepe: Who gang stalked you? Was it because of any natural handsomeness on your part, no fault of your own? 8O

My dad was talking to a doctor saying, "Ezra is very detached, withdrawn, aloof, distant from others".

The doctor responded saying, "That's wonderful!".

Good idea, China! It's not like traditional Chinese nonsense got us into this mess to begin with or anything...
