I can see that, you're very consistent on non-violence so I'd imagine There's a bunch of issues where they'd be more militant and you more pacifist. For what it's worth, much like Ron Paul's anti-intervention positions make me respect him despite his issues, that's a trait of yours that I admire.

To be fair, there's 'establishment centrists', 'moderates' and 'extreme centrists' and of those the last set are the set that every single other bloc doesn't know how to comprehend.

There are nationalists and conservatives in Europe who like Trump, but that doesn't mean most of Europe likes him.

Very much, there's three stems of people and they all originate in Africa.

Oscar Hammerstein II said it best-

You've got to be taught
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.
You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade,
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
Before it is all for naught,
You've got to be carefully taught!

I was subtly “taught” as a young child.

However, actually hanging out with “minorities” in summer camp during late childhood changed my racist views.

I thought black children stunk—until I realized the scent came from the hair products they were forced to wear in order to render their “kinky” hair straight.

What play did these lyrics come from, AuntBlabby? I never would have thought Oscar Hammerstein II had such an insightful mind.

oscar got a LOT of blowback from daring to criticize racism in that era [1950s].

Same, except never at home because my dad at my age was pretty much as militant as I am on this (at... my age?).

I also didn't really have any experiences like that, I never went to any camps. Some of my cousins could be described as white but others probably wouldn't.

So, Darmok got banned?

We can't talk about banned members, yet, we can't know they're banned unless we talk about them.

Basically the only way you’ll know is if we talk about them enough the mods will put stop to it and issue warning.

I'm under the impression that the problem isn't working out who is banned,
It is discussing why a person was banned.

Just because one disagrees with you politically—doesn’t mean one dislikes you as a person.

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were best friends—but they hated each other politically.

Not been my experience on this site. The day I voted for trump I became an enemy to many here. First they called me horrible things, now they just completely ignore me for the most part which I guess is better then before.
I can only imagine if I was dying in front of them they wouldn’t do anything to help me.
I’d call that hate.

Partisanship is a very big problem in America, yes.

True dat.
It’s. It just a liberal thing either I just talk about it more here cause this is a left leaning site now.
My work is conservative and I know based on their opinions they if they knew Im disabled and on social security they wouldn’t talk to me anymore. Non less if they knew my left leaning opinions.

There’s only a few people in my life I don’t have to hide som part of me from.

Can I be one of the non-few people?
Please don't pull your pants down on my account.

Pick a team, support that team, bash the other team, and turn a blind eye all the bad s**t your team does.

Both teams are dangling by the strings of the oligarchs. The performance theater you see in congress is like pro wrestling. It's nothing but a show to maintain the political divide.

So many people do it.
I wonder if they know they are doing it.
It isn't the aspie way, in my book. :?

I didn't think Nitro would be such a blatant racist, but...
It never even really occurred to be to consider it from that angle until my coworker told a similar story and it clicked that he didn't have any idea what I looked like.

Among them, anyways. I don't think I've ever seen him really chew anyone out. I'm prone to nomming.
