It's legal in the Czech Republic, but they still need to be doing more. Most of the ladies of the night in Czech work for pimps who take their money, beat them, beat or kill ladies of the night that do not work for them that are trying to do business where they do business, etc. Also there is no government tracking system for prostitution like there is for other risky professions.

Most people would like to see some sort of registration system and public health system, since they are at risk of picking up all sorts of diseases. Also, most people would like to see their business moved away from pimps and into "public establishments" (euphamism for brothel) where they are essentially entrepreneurs and not working for pimps.

From what I undestand, quite a bit of the EU has it legalized, but only with a varying degree of public/prostitute protection.

You mean a gentleman’s club them people have made a choice because they enjoy it but these people don't, might be called other stuff like dungeon and that… probably other name's.. Except for the one's ripping the girls off...

Apparently they've arrested a suspect, a supermarket employee in his 30's. I saw it on the news this morning, and it's on the Wikipedia article....

The nerve of this fellow, giving that sort of interview to the BBC! Toldja he was an attention-seeker.

And then TELLING the BBC during his interview that he thought he was a suspect (or whatever suspects are called accross the pond - there was some special word for him being questioned by the police).

A second man has been arrested. The first guy Tom wotsit most working girls say it could'nt be him, wrong temperament but who knows. The police are desperate to arrest someone to quieten the hysteria.
