We don't even have the death penalty in Canada, although it's hard to feel anything other than wanting a serial killer at least get some of the suffering they gave their victims. When I hear about these monsters who rape, torture, and kill innocent people I think a quick, painless execution is too good for them. But then again, I've heard about suspects who are actually innocent who make a false confession because the interrogation was like torture for someone who is already in a horrific emotional state because a loved one was murdered, or the officers lied and said they wouldn't be sent to prison if they did confess. In Canada there are people who've spent years in prison for crimes they never committed and I think that would be even worse than death.
