I'm a Trump supporter. Here is why:

1) I lost my job in 1999 due to the NAFTA trade act. The town I lived in was devastated by the loss of 80% of our factories and it has not recovered. At the same time he signed this trade act, Bill Clinton changed the welfare system to the new welfare-to-work system which forces people to work in jobs that aren't there or lose their benefits. Again, at the same time, the "super predator" thing happened so masses of people started being imprisoned for petty crime. I don't feel sorry for criminals, frankly, but it created a problem for the rest of us. All of these criminals got worse and when they finally come out, there are, again, no jobs for them.

Hillary Clinton has proven by her actions that she is the same as her husband. Anyone supporting her should go look at this story, listen to the audio, and then tell me if you're still comfortable voting for her. That's just in addition to all the other stuff that is public knowledge.

2) I believe that either the plans proposed by Bernie Sanders or the plans proposed by Donald Trump would work to rebuild the country. I am not uneducated in these kinds of things. My minor in my second undergraduate degree was in international studies, which included a lot of economics, modern and historical. If you asked me what my political leaning was, I would say that I am a socialist or a Keynesian. I believe that it is the government's responsibility to take care of people who cannot take care of themselves. The rest of us have a personal responsibility to take care of ourselves and each other.

a)Trump's idea of negotiating individual trade deals with different countries is a great idea. That could give us significant advantages.

b)I agree with Trump's stance on not taking things off the table when it comes to dealing with enemies. Our enemies are not our friends. Wringing hands about fair treatment of people trying to kill us is disrespectful to the people who have given their lives and livelihoods fighting to keep our country safe.

c)Although I do think the minimum wage should be raised, I think simply returning manufacturing jobs to the US will serve the same purpose. In 1999 I made 9/hour and I was on the low end of what people in my factory made. The minimum wage then was 5.25.

d)I don't care what he says when he makes gaffs. He directly insulted a person with a movement disorder by making a "spazmo" gesture and it never occurred to me to be offended. I have a movement disorder.

e)I have taught Arab refugees and I also had a pretty exhaustive class on middle-eastern culture, taught from a pro-middle-eastern point of view. In addition to supplemental education about Edward Said and orientalism, which is a lot of what the Black Lives Matter rhetoric is borrowed from. Muslims and Arab Muslims are two completely different things. Arab Muslim culture is very different from Western culture. It's like how Christians who actively hope for the Rapture are different from regular Christians. You are not going to find theoretical common ground with them. They see dogs as being on the same scale as cockroaches (they kill them all), women as being on the same scale as we see dogs and cats (pets). There isn't a lot of point in liberating the females because they believe this stuff too. It is pointless to pretend that they are like us, to put our values on them, or to ask them to live in our culture. It actually makes them pretty unhappy. They deserve stability in their own place and we are probably not the people to help them with cultural issues.

f) I believe a war with Russia would be disastrous. As I've said before, it would be Red Dawn. They'd kick our butts, could easily drop an EMP on us, cripple our country. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the American continent is as rich in natural resources as Africa. They have a lot of struggles over there, don't they? Ever wonder why? It's like how a pretty girl has a hard life. Everyone wants what she has, so she has no peace. Imagine the US not as strong, with all our coal, trees, farmland, etc.

So anyone can go ahead and call me ignorant for supporting Trump, but I believe he is the way to go in this election. I think if it goes the other way the country will continue to go downhill at the same rate it did in the early 2000s, only we may feel the effects sooner than we did then.

I would add that I like that Trump would not only wants to negotiate individual trade deals to our favor but also will personally advocate on the American workers behalf directly to these companies that outsources and exploit the use of what is essentially foreign slave labor. We need to fight to keep American jobs, we need to bring back manufacturing base to this country no matter the price as it is necessary for national security and domestic tranquility. The globalist economy is a zero sum game, what we've lost has been gained and essentially stolen by these others. We've made them rich while our wages have stagnated and or industry stripped away, they are leveling our quality of life out with the rest of the world and I have no interest in taking this vow of poverty so Chinese communists can turn around and say their system of slavery 'works'. We need to guard our wealth, we need to take care of our people and own problems in this country, we need to make America great again!

If somebody other than Trump put forward Trump's stated ideas, then maybe we'd might have something.

In the intelligence business, we would say that Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.

It's obvious that Putin is pulling Trump's heartstrings.

In a NY Daily News cartoon, Trump is a horse, and Putin is riding him, saying "Giddy-up."

A scary scenario, if you ask me.
