Lol, I really don't put that much thought into it.
As for the U.S., you guys elected an idiot for president. He has embarrassed your country internationally and has thrown it's government into chaos. While you guys have that dufus representing your country, you'll continue to be a laughing stock in the international community.
Canada doesn't have the same economic and social problems as the US. Is it fair to judge them if they elected Trump because of it?

I really can't take you guys very seriously. This claim has been shown to have been false...
WHERE?!?! You mean like you showed it to be false in your own quote?

I understand the frustration - it's called denial I believe.
The backfiring McCathyesque investigation is going to be the left's worse defeat since the election.

Of course. The issues are the issues, the problem is that Trump is incompetent as a president, and this should have been obvious prior to voting.

The quote above says that:
Nunes became aware that Trump and his associates were caught in legal surveillance (we still don't know what they were caught doing, but Nunes seemed to think Trump would be interested.)
How does this translate into:
Obama wiretapped Trump.
I think you are making your error because you are equating the existence of surveillance information about Trump with Obama having wiretapped him. This is probably a result of Trump's saying that what he meant by "Obama wiretapped me" was actually "I was caught up in a legal surveillance." The Trump Alternative Fact translation, I guess.
But anyway, that Trump and his associates were dealing with people were were under a legal investigation is bad news for Trump. It begs the question of why.
Oh, and Trump just had to pull the healthcare vote because he was going to lose.

You may not put that much thought into it----but, I can imagine you are quite gleeful when you see what you feel is yet another opportunity to "get" him; like, you feel you need to teach him, a thing-or-two.
President Trump hasn't "embarrassed our country internationally", unless we ALLOW it to embarrass us----that's why I am just constantly shaking my head at what I consider idiocy of the Americans posting on here, bashing him, because they are SHOWING their embarrassment that they have allowed themselves to feel; and that, IMO, is just too stupid, for words. I mean, how could ANY non-American embarrass us regarding something they truly know nothing about, cuz they've never lived here----anything they say, is purely speculation.

Androbot If you were in the rust belt doing it tough and struggling to provide for your family, would you vote for the candidate who called you deplorable, was part of an administration that removed 700, 000 jobs from your state. Or would you vote for the outsider, the candidate who promised to bring back jobs?

Yes, thankyou----and, no, it isn't!!
What she's doing is, going-by where I come-from, incredibly ill-mannered----and, it's also, like being "racist". IMO, "racist" is putting-down an entire race, based-on the actions of a few----so, she's like a "country-ist", or something; putting-down an entire country, because of the actions of a few.

It was a case of being forced into choosing of the 'lesser of two evils'. The other side was so much more incompetent, even Trump was the better choice.

I like Androbot. I wouldn't call her country-ist is that is the word. I think it is very shocking that someone who promised to deport millions of people was elected, she raises a legitimate point that it doesn't say much good about a country if they supported someone who wanted to implement some terrible policies.

Well, I think that anyone from any country having watched Trump's performance during this election and infant presidency can see that he is a fool.
With regard to America, my experience is limited. I spent Christmas on the east coast of Florida back in '88. It was nice. And I've been to the Maine coast several times, also back in the '80s. And I've been to Buffalo and Niagara Falls more times than I want to remember. All prior to 9/11. I haven't crossed the border since then.
Honestly, I wish things would calm down a little bit in the States. They were starting to under Obama, but now with this Muslim ban the bar has been lowered. Thank God it did not get through the courts.

If I were a struggling person in the rust belt I would move to a place where there is more opportunity and I would invest in learning a new skill. I would not trust the country to a charlatan selling magic beans.
The world changes and it doesn't get held back for anybody. If your livelihood is no longer profitable, learn another, or move to where you have a skill to sell. Superman's not going to fly around the Earth and bring back the '70s.
And for the record, I like the States and think of it and England as the cornerstones of western civilization. When I see you guys start crumbling, it doesn't make me happy.

They can't, the same way you can't live in British Columbia yet.

I'm not kidding. I've already made one major move in my life. I grew up in St. Catharines, a GM town, near Niagara Falls. Sorry to offend, but it's a pit. Took me 10 years of planning, but I got outta there and it paid off. Kingston has given me opportunities St. Catharines never could.
And I may make it to BC yet.

You have done nothing to offend. You know what's it like, I guess. I think its really tough for those in Flint, Michigan so many people live in massive poverty. I don't think we can really ask them to move, its no so simple.

I know. I feel bad for them. There's the familiar path of blame that they shot themselves in the foot with the union wage demands of the last century. They made outrageous money back in the "day."
Thing is somethings just suck, but it doesn't mean they're going to change. No one can bring the old jobs back to those people. Personally, I think the future is in technology, specifically internet communications. Because it allows people to work from any location. But they will have to learn the skills. I think the best a leader could do for them is to invest in and encourage this retraining.
Whining about it decade after decade and then taking the word of someone like Trump to solve the problem is desperation. Again, I realize the situation sucks, but there's no point standing still and complaining.
