Trump publicly called on the Russians to release more hacked emails. They did. How is that not collusion?

He basically said: Russia, if you hacked the DNC, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 missing emails. He displayed having no knowledge that Russia performed the "hacking" and if more emails were leaked, there's still no proof that was Russia was the one who leaked them.

The assertion by Politico was that Trump urged the Russians to hack Clinton's email. The problem with that assertion is that the hacking had already taken place.

I consider it probable that people close to Trump discussed with them how he planned to change US foreign policy if he won. That's a crime.

That's fine, but it's only conjecture.

They, whoever they are, simply gathered and released some emails. It's the content of the emails that damaged Clinton.

Maybe that's why Trump is investigating voter fraud. But Podsesta falling for a blatantly obvious phishing scam, doesn't have anything to do with voting equipment.

Comey knew some of the emails were altered by the hackers, actually

Complete nonsense. Trump wants pseudo-scientific cover for more minority voter suppression.

Also, I figured I would post a video where Trump does publicly tells Russia to release more information for you:

I had already watched that video and commented on what I observed. The idea is that this is supposed to be proof of collusion, just displays how much desperation and straw grasping is involved in trying come up with something. Is this actually the closest thing they have to a "smoking gun"?

As I've stated before in threads well back: a man and his rifle are no match for aerial drones, long range missiles, and modern tanks. Guerilla warfare perhaps, but not a pitched battle. Point being, if a tank comes running into town don't think that rifle's going to protect you, it's not near enough firepower. Be smart, run, and regroup.

You refereed to an invasion; with help of the Nation Guard and Coast Guard, we can defend our homeland. While still maintaining an offensive force that can strike our enemy. But it's off topic and is something we could further discuss the unlikely event of an all out invasion, in a another thread.

How do you know that?

I was just being sarcastic, but pseudo-scientific? In what way?

Comey knew that at least one leaked document had been faked by the Russians. They tried to troll the press, and failed that time. The following article describes how that seems to have influenced Comey's bad decisions about disclosing information about the investigation into Clinton's private server.

The pseudoscience is in that fake research DJT likes to mis-cite, saying it shows millions of illegal votes cast. The paper has methodological problems, for starters, and it doesn't actually even make that claim. Racists love pseudoscience.

I'm going to hold you to the same standards here as you're holding everyone else, link me the evidence please. Because I'm pretty sure a 16 year old kid and a 24 year old intern combined couldn't replicate the fancy-bear virus, even if they're savants.

What virus? A standard phishing scam email is not a virus. Podesta received an email made to look like it was coming from Google regarding his gmail account and asked for his password. So Podesta replied by supplying his password. That's it. No hacking. No virus.

Now emails contain what are called headers. A series of letters, numbers, dashes and dots. If you know how to read that stuff, it tells you among other things the address of the IP provider which looks like this 30.21.153.864. That's not the address of the person who sent it, just the address of the IP provider. IP addresses are very easy to fake. If you go to YouTube you can find an abundance of videos showing how simple it is to do that. Here's a video that takes 3 minutes to show how it's done and this is just the very basics. The tip of the iceberg.

The headers also provide information such as what browser was used, what type of device sent it and so on. All of which can be easily altered just like an IP address. Again there's lots of short YouTube videos on how to do this stuff. It is very basic. All you have to do is know what the numbers and letters represent the same way an automobile VIN number tells you a bunch of stuff about the vehicle if you know how to read it and alter them to say something else.

Many experts such as Julian Assange and John McAfee have said a 14 year old kid could have done it. If you want me to compile more about this I will. I've already went through it all when I looked into the matter months ago.

Even if a 4 year old could hack Podesta's emails, that hardly means doing it was justifiable. That's like saying, a 4 year old could have broken into my apartment.

EzraS never said phishing Podesta's email was justifiable...

This document doesn't discuss the DNC emails. It discusses a different operation. It's in the chart, how the Russians emailed Word documents to election officials. The Word documents were infected with a virus. In order to make that part work, they appear to have used information that they gathered from a simple phishing scam which collected the passwords of employees of VR, a company that contracts with counties to maintain their voter rolls.

Did DJT know about this? I doubt it. He should care, but I expect that he won't.

I am aware it doesn't discuss the DNC emails. I only posted it, because Winning was mentioned on a previous page.

You guys on the right are at the very least excusing it.
As for Reality Winner: again, you guys embraced Snowden and Assange as long as they helped you against Obama and Clinton. But as soon as your Orange Messiah, and his boss in the Kremlin get the same treatment, you're up in arms.

I'm glad you posted it again. The discussion had turned to the other hack, for some reason I can't fathom.

No one that I know of is saying it was justified based on its simplicity. What is being said, is the way the apartment was broken into was so simplistic (let's say a spare key was used) that anyone, even a 4 year old could have done it.

Why use a needlessly sophisticated method? People really need better security. I should improve my own, for that matter.

Even then, the leak is not evidence of collusion. Just how the "hack" happen. It also had no effect on the election results.
