Just in case anyone doesn't believe jrjones and needs a more "reliable" source. Yeah, it's satire.
"According to the site, Info Wars, The Federalist, The Gateway Pundit and a popular Russian news organization all have fallen for the elaborate gag.
Medusa will be shut down because 'there is no point in operating a caricature website of Feminism anymore when real life Feminists are now more insane than any caricature we could ever dream up,' according to the creator."
It's funny: he claims that feminists can't be parodied anymore, right after admitting it was right wing media sites like Info Wars that are the ones who fell for it and thought it was real, not feminists.
So basically anti-feminists were more likely to be fooled by this parody of feminism than actual feminists were. Why am I not surprised?
Funny, indeed. When I see serious people debating feminism on Twitter, they rarely throw verbal bombs. The lunatic fringe, however, gets held up for ridicule no matter what their politics. My kind of inclusive, anti-authoritarian feminism probably has a worse ratio of comments to likes, but I'll accept that. People like easy snark, even when it oversimplifies issues.
