I've known PLENTY of extremely aggressive (and feminine) women in my time.

I don't like aggression myself----but I've certainly experienced it from women.

You know what they say about a woman scorned......

Yes, I don't want them wavering to pull the trigger if that's what needs done.

BTW let it be noted I mentioned "controlled aggression", I don't mind shortening that to just aggression but don't try and construct a straw man argument about men going berserk while women stay calm, that's not going to wash here.

I would share a foxhole with some women I've known, that's for sure.

...For a Western culture, the Israeli army certainly manages well with female combat soldiers.

Part of being a good soldier is the ability to "MacGyver" (fix things with minimal materials available at a moment's notice). I've known women who have a facility for that.

I would not have made a good soldier---but I don't care. I have other strengths.

That might wash outside of the military, but soldiers are relentlessly trained, put a man and a woman on the same training course and the man will reach a level the woman can't down to basic biology. Words and definitions aren't going to change that. It's not just physical strength, as I mentioned it's aggression and other factors too. Proof by example fallacies are going to be little comfort when your team mate can't drag you off the battle field because they lack the strength.[/quote]

Again, you're only coming at this from your own biased point of view. Firstly, some people would argue that gun rights are human rights, and I've seen persuasive arguments in favor of this position. I've seen other people argue that certain rights demanded by trans people aren't actually human rights at all, and I would agree with some of them. No issue is black and white. As for the "inhumanity" of the voting base, I'd advise against generalizations like that. Everyone these days seems to have that "if you're not with us you're against us" mentality, and it's quite destructive for either side's case. As for single-issue voting, I don't believe there's any such thing. When I said decisive, I meant that they're priorities, not that they're the only thing that matters in a person's decision. I have never met a "single-issue voter." Let me ask you this, though: How would you have fared if Trump had been the one who was pro-trans, while Clinton was avidly anti-trans, so much so that she supported eugenics? Would you have had an easy time voting for her? These are the problems that many people face when voting, whether or not it has been your own experience.

Well some of the trouble with the gun rights thing is sometimes the narrative seems more fear mongering than reasonable. Like instead of looking at what gun regulations make sense and which ones go too far...some gun rights people will insist that the left is hellbent on entirely banning guns. I don't know of any politicians or really people on the left advocating for a full on gun ban. So then it causes some people to get all up in arms about guns to the point to them the left is the enemy coming to take away their guns...and by that point you can't have reasonable debates or discussions about guns with them. It bothers me because obviously when you combine guns with unreasonableness then you just have a ticking bomb.

If anything some of those very vocal NRA types give gun owners a bad name with how belligerent and adamant they get in regards to the topic...its like they don't even have respect for how dangerous guns are, and act like any regulations designed to promote responsible gun ownership is 'dem liberals tryin to take our guns, don't tread...bla bla'

I am not talking about everyone who has guns and supports gun ownership...I also support gun ownership. But I do take issue with the attitude of some gun owners/supporters that try and present gun politics as having to be an us vs them issue.

I don't see why I should respect female Israeli soldiers as "strong women".

They are still fighting for a Western-backed imperial power bent on booting Palestinians out of their homeland. The British only helped to create Israel in order to aid British megacorps.

If the Israelis are so tough, why do they constantly need American tax dollars?

Oh brother.

I'm not talking about Israeli politics here.

I'm talking about the fact that woman.....and Trans....if they can fight, should be able to fight alongside men.

I'm not hijacking anything.

I'm talking about my view----that trans people shouldn't be excluded from the military because they are transsexual.

Chelsea Manning was booted out of the military for being a real hero. Now she uses the internet to fight against people who actually deserve our wrath.

If you are in the US military, you are fighting for the rich and powerful so that the oppressed can suffer more. Unfortunately, some youths are getting into the military just because the economy is crap and there are few other job opportunities.

I'm essentially saying that transpeople shouldn't want to be in the military. Nobody should want to be an American soldier or an American cop at this point in history, since they serve the forces of capitalism and white supremacy.

Not to mention, Kurdish female fighters put the fear of God into ISIS.

Proof by example fallacies are going to be little comfort when your team mate can't drag you off the battle field because they lack the strength.

If dragging a person is the test then no problem, I could do that easily. I'm a small woman, and I don't even work out. Battles are not often fought hand to hand with brute strength anymore anyway. Women can carry weapons and deal with hardship as much as men. Some are also very aggressive. Aggression is also not the only thing necessary to win battles. Modern warfare is more complicated and requires incite. I believe having more women in the military might actually make the armed forces more successful.

I am not in the armed forces but I have extensive experience working with and for many men and women in the civilian setting. I almost always prefer a male boss, because they are much more lenient and just don't care as much. Women and are much less likely to back down and let things slide, and almost always more aggressive. As coworkers when I was a Nursing assistant (fast paced physical job that actually requires lifting people) any men that were around were almost always the ones who were falling behind and we had to pick up the slack. Women get sh** done.

Like I said I am not in the armed forces, and would not consider it for moral reasons. This was drilled into me from birth by my dad who is a Vietnam Veteran. With all the unrest in the world today I am thankful to have girl children who don't have to sign up for the draft, and tell them regularly not to EVER join.

Oh and if a trans person wants to join they would probably be some of the mentally tough people there due to the hardships of growing up trans in the first place. It is a ridiculous political stunt to keep them out.
