Why should he go back to Haiti? My ancestors didn't go back to 19th century Europe to make it a better place. Americans are from everywhere, including Haiti.
I am aware Americans come from everywhere; as noted many times, my family is not originally from America. He doesn't have to go back to make it a better place, only encouraged if he could and wants to. My family didn't, they came here to start a life in America. Just as my family and many others, he can stay here if he wants to work and/or support himself (if he has the money to support himself, with out work. More power to him)... If not, then he can go back without choice. We can't support everyone, we can't keep taking in freeloaders. We have enough here as it is who ruin it for those who really need assistance.
Kokopelli never stated if this person is American, this person could be here on a visa.
**Everyone in my family sponsors a child in our home country, doesn't cost much. But the money sends the children to a private school, provides a warm meal and medical. Wish we could do more, but that's about all we can afford.
