The US have never had that system and if never heard a complaint about the system until Trump won. The UK system is much more flawed than the US I think.
You never heard a complaint about the system until Trump won?
Either you're too young, or perhaps you haven't been paying attention.
There was plenty of criticism of it after Gore won the 2000 presidential election by 500,000 votes but lost it in the "Electoral College".
Long before Gore, the Electoral College faced condemnation.
Maine and Nebraska have actually gone so far as to mandate a form of proportional representation of the electors in their states. Perhaps other states will someday follow and that could go a long way toward ending the disparity between the will of the people and the will of the "electors".
So the dems had 8 years of power then complained about the system when they lost in 2000. They had 8 years of power then complained about the system when they lost in 2016. Think I see a pattern

Not really. I didn't realise people complained about the system after 2000. It's not surprising though. Liberals are the most intolerant group.

... next to conservatives.

Conservatives attack everyone who isn't a white/straight/natural-born-citizen/Christian ie. most of the country.
This is why the voting statistics show a clear divide among race, gender, sexuality, and religion:
White/Straight/Christians vote right-wing, literally the vast majority of everyone else votes left-wing.
But, sure, tell yourself whatever it is you need to - in order to sleep better at night.
Have a good night John.
All conservatives? I'll think you'll find that's a tiny handful. Anyone who attacks someone who is innocent is sick. I'm saying that 'liberals' are just intolerant in general. Can't even have a discussion with them.

I’m just saying conservatives are intolerant - in general. They’re so intolerant that they attack most of the people in the country (most aren’t white/straight/Christian). Not to forget any time a minority tries to have a discussion about first hand bigotry on the right all conservatives do is bark like rabid dogs - kinda makes it impossible to converse with them and to take them seriously. You’ll help me make my point in 3, 2, 1...
Have a good night John.

I can't be responsible for your ignorance. The entire idea behind the electoral college was to give disproportionate power to the slave states, which had a low voting population but lots of slaves.

Conservatives claim to be open minded but what they mean is, "I will tolerate your views and you disagreeing with me. I don't care what you think because your political thoughts will not affect me."
Liberals will slam people on their bigotry and racism and prejudice and will not tolerate those views because they do affect others.

They don't attack people in general. The odd idiot does. In general, liberals can't have a conversation and just scream accusations at people. The Democrat party has taught them to be victims and describe themselves as 'minorities'.

Any evidence for that?

I'm pretty conservative. I have asked you numerous questions on numerous threads. You can't answer them. You just get to slander me.

Yeah, you never try to really have discussions with anyone here on the other side. All you do basically is shout fake news, fake statistics, scream identity politics, and deny racism at every twist, turn, and corner. The question you want me to answer is why do I and others see you as having racist ideology - I and others have answered this repeatedly and nothing anybody says gets through to you, ever. That's not called having a conversation, that's called talking to a brick wall - and it's a good example of what I meant. Just look at how these past couple replies went - I should note that in mine I was just echoing the absolutism back at you since I found it amusing rather than serious.
JohnPowell wrote:

You asked for examples of racism and overall bigotry, well - seeing minorities in this manner is prime example; what you're basically implying is "minorities can't think for themselves, they easily follow whatever the Democrats tell them to believe because minorities are gullible." You won't be able to see it, you never do (a la brick wall in regards to your "question"), you'll defend it - it's just a very odd comment I thought I'd bring attention to. It also answers your question, even though you won't see that.
As said, earnestly, have a good night, John.
