Not so much myth as perhaps incorrect, partially correct or exaggerated conclusions. That can be used as a political scare tactic.

You mean like a flat earth denier or unbeliever or infadel? If it's a label, it should be shortened to something like climaphobe.

There's no point in arguing with someone who believes that he's smarter than 97% of the world's climate scientists.

Could someone invent things that can help reverse climate change artificially--massive carbon removal, ocean temperature regulation, et al.?

Climate Scientists just admitted they screwed up. They didn't know how to take temperate measurements.

I saw this coming a mile a way.

They're not stupid, but they lack critical thinking skills.

EZRA has those critical thinking skills.

The window of opportunity may be much shorter than that.

You don't even realize that the link you posted in support of Ezra's argument actually guts it.

It's crystal clear.

You don't seem to genuinely want to discuss these topics.

I showed you above that they just admitted that they've been measuring their temperature data wrong.

So, their conclusions have been wrong for decades.

So, at this point, you can't trust them at all.

That explicitly validates what Ezra said.

That's supposed to be of significance, that 97% of the people who get paid to produce climate change science results agree with each other.

Probably 97% of the world's parapsycologists agree with each other that paranormal activity exists. Does that mean I absolutely must as well? That I can't question it at all? Or that I think I'm smarter than them if I do?

False equivalence. I haven't renounced climate change science. I just question it. Just like I question certain aspects of medicine.

I guess if one is a robot NPC liberal they don't question.

If we end up with a dem president and the dems get house majority, probably climate change will suddenly become less of a danger...not because they really did anything about it, but because the scare tactic won't be needed any longer. At least until they need to use it again.... I do believe a lot of hype is being injected into it. I believe like other things it's being exploited for political gain....exaggerated conclusions...That can be used as a political scare tactic...

Ezra postulated that if climate change is not an outright hoax, the risk is being over-exaggerated for political purposes by the Democrats.
You posted a link to an article in a British publication referencing a published study in a British scientific journal (no American Democrats) postulating that due to improvements in tech, they have discovered that they have seriously underestimated global warming; not "exaggerated conclusions" for "political gain"; the exact opposite of that Ezra repeatedly stated.

I simply have higher standards of literacy and education of the people I desire to discuss these topics with.
Quite frankly, you don't measure up.

What's your expert, professional opinion of subtotal cytoreduction for grade 4 Glioblastoma multiforme?

Or do you not know jack s**t about it; and you're just talking out of your ass?

Pardon me if I don't take your opinion seriously.

Quite frankly that makes you sound like a quintessential pseudo-intellectual. Please go on extolling yourself, it's just so impressive and convincing when posers people do that.

So; once upon a time, ocean temperatures were measured by a guy dropping a weighted thermometer on a string over the side of the HMS Beagle. Nowadays we do it with infrared satellites, automated buoys, and complex computer modeling.
But since the 19th century guy on a sailing ship with the thermometer on a string's "conclusions have been wrong for decades", "you can't trust them at all."

You have a very sophomoric notion of how science works.

You seem to fancy yourself as a knowledgeable person.

How come you don't know that they still use ship measurements?

(You would know this if you ever actually dug around for measurement data).

The grotesque nature of the measurement data is that ...

1. The raw measurement data is not publicly available. (You can find aggregated data from say "Ship 1" or "Weather Station 1", however, no raw measurment, GPS coordinate data)
2. They don't provide GPS locations.
3. They don't tell you their statistical methods.
4. They don't tell you their statistical model (climate model).
5. They don't tell you the specific device used and the tolerance/error rate.

So, they can prove anything.
