I don’t agree with them, either. I’ve posted to indicate so. The fact that you overlook it isn’t my fault.

I’m not preoccupied with you, but you’d be correct in assuming I don’t like your attitude towards me - especially your discounting of what I have learned, achieved and shared, due to my occupation.

Sorry but you don't come anywhere as close to getting all personal with them as you do with me. So it seems quite obvious. Go ahead and keep doing what you're doing, I'm so sure that will prove it to be wrong.

(btw, i would say the same thing regarding your occupation if you were the world's greatest astrophysicist with 6 PhD's as it's not germane to discovering the cause of autism or crating the definitive treatment for it. i believe that takes a professional expert in that field with years of experience working in a laboratory with many colleagues. that's just simply my personal opinion. and i have lost interest in addressing it any further. so get over it already).

I'm sketchy about the forum rules and I would post in the "ask a mod" section, but I don't know how to link this thread in that mod area. Are we allowed to air personal and specific grievances directed toward one individual in public threads like Goldfish21 is toward Ezra??

Believe me, there are a good number of members that I don't agree with here or care for their demeanor and, being human, I have desires at times to let loose on them, but I never would. Civility should be of greatest importance in any forum.

Yes, it's called ad hominem. Which is Latin for to the person. Ad hominem - of an argument or reaction directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining.

It is covered by this rule written by the owner of Wrong Planet:

2. Personal attacks.
This includes insinuation, ridicule and personal insults, regardless of whether direct or indirect. Attacking an opinion, belief or philosophy is acceptable, but attacking the person making the comments is not.

I don't look down on Trump supporters any more than I would towards the members of any other cult. They can be nice people too, the problem is their worship of a zealot.

No, anti-trump sentiment is a result of individual thought. There are big differences between cults & groups. If someone tells you everything to believe about them, that's a cult.

There is no singular overlord of false prophets in liberal thinking.

CNN is not a delusional oligarch. Either you believe everything Trump says or you can actually fact check it.

Well you called him a 'true businessman' if I remember correctly. :lmao: He inherited almost half a billion!

Trump's 'business' practices alone are an impeachable conflict of interest, it's just that right or left, our entire government is hopelessly obsessed with money.

according to my post history i wrote, 'just a businessman' and 'billionaire businessman'. i really don't see why anyone cares what he inherited. he multiplied it several times and built a business 'empire'. am i defending him or praising him? no, i'm simply just stating what i believe to be a fact - regarding something i don't really care much about.

It's illegal to draw profits from presidential business. There's practically no possible way it can be legal to operate a 'business empire' while in office. The conflicts of interest are so numerous it's just laughable.

Hi Magna - you can copy and paste the URL of a thread you want to bring to the mods attention in that How to get a Mods Attention thread. Its the same as pasting any webpage url. I agree with you that personal differences should not form part of the discourse here, and I think you mentioning it has reminded both of them to keep on topic.

Thanks for the reminder to keep it civil. :)

I have a lifetime of experience as an AS man. 6 years ago at my worst when my GP said there was nothing he could do because there are no drugs for this, I knew that I wasn’t always that bad and that if something could make it worse, something could make it better. I persisted until I figured out what it was, did it, and shared it with the group here.

As for NT’s in a lab - they may as well be 1,000 monkeys trying to write the next great American novel for all they’ve accomplished so far. Although, with Dr. Lee’s study they are finally getting close.

And as for what you think, meh, I don’t care what you think as it doesn’t change what I’ve learned and done one iota. Unless I want to feel particularly bright, I suppose, as if I went by your requirements of teams of people with credentials in a lab, well, I’ve already outdone them all on my own. 8) But that would only be if I cared what you thought and agreed with it, and I don’t, so, meh.

I’ll just continue doing as I do and living a better life for it. Y’all can play the waiting game for your credentialed saviours to tell you the same thing as long as you like. And then since most people on this forum have no interest in putting any effort into treating what ails them, I’m guessing almost no one here will take decisive action and do anything about it for themselves, anyways. I’d rather live life than just play forum games, but that’s me and why I made the choices I have. To each their own.
