Did they know they were human traffickers when they placed children with them? Because it looks like it was unknown to authorities at the time they were human traffickers. Trump's policy on the other hand asked agents to very knowingly put children in cages.
I agree more vetting should have been done to ensure that didn't happen, in fact there's nothing much that I agreed with about Obama's deportation policies. But it's unfair to compare a mistake in the vetting process to known and intentional abuse of children by the government itself.

Putting kids cages isn't the worst offense, here. Read LG's comment again. She stated that Obama was not responsible for separating immigrant children from their families. That is false. Again, Obama's hands are every bit as dirty as Trump's.

The very odd thing about all of this is Trump technically isn't even a republican, he just ran 'as' a republican, that's why so many republicans were against him, he is actually more left leaning. (so I've heard)

If that is true, it's horrible. It also doesn't justify anyone else doing the same wrong thing that someone else has done it before. People do this any time someone tries to point out something wrong Trump is doing--"Oh yeah, well Obama did it too!" This is not a justification for doing wrong, and whether Obama did it too or not will not dissuade people from talking about how wrong it is that Trump is also doing it. Wrong is wrong, Obama doing it doesn't make it acceptable. Knee-jerking Obama-did-it-too is just whataboutism; a faulty debate/reasoning tactic that conservatives seem overly fond of.
