TYT's Cenk Uygur is running for Congress!
Ever consider that perhaps Dan Rather has a more positive view of TYT than you do?
I'm willing to bet he's got a more informed view of them than anyone in this thread, regardless of the poster's opinion. If he's no longer working with them I'd be interested to hear why, same for why he initially started working with them.
So am I a liar or a moron?
Anyone who dares disagree with JP is a liar or a moron.

Come on.
He was obviously talking about Cenk.

In reality probably a scenario of being retired, looking for something to do, and getting paid.
I agree that those are all also likely to be relevant, with the additional element of him liking what they do. There's many online news shows, he chose that one.

Sounds a little extreme.
A handful of progressives aren't going to drastically reshape the country in their image any more than Louie Gohmert has made America into a theocracy. Cenk is just the squad's male equivalent, supposing he wins.

Don't worry. we'll survive. Hell, we survived that Gopher dude from the Love Boat getting elected. We survived Al Frankin. We'll be alright -' I think.
But if anyone from the cast of Pawn Stars ever throws their hat into the ring...well. I might have to reevaluate my opinion.

Yeah. he's got a rockin' beard and some cool tats. I'd vote for him!

Good point.

In my view, one of our major goals needs to be to increase political participation and oppose voter suppression, as well as other measures that keep locked down the range of acceptable opinions, like the influence of money in politics.
Getting these progressives into Congress, and making waves I think is the start of much of that.

Yeah, JP is a piece of work. Extremely pig-headed, repeats the same things over and over again thinking that this time it will make it true, and will become insulting and outright calling you a liar if you don't bend to his will. And yet, he's supposed to be more "reasonable" and "serious" than me according to Ezra.

So it makes Cenk a moron if he's not lying, but it doesn't apply to me? That doesn't make sense. If it makes one sincere person a moron for saying it, then it should make everyone else.
I think JP was just trying to skirt the rules here.

No. Someone in that rat's position should know better. Russiagate has been debunked by former intelligence officials and journalists like Aaron Mate and Glen Greenwald. Cenk is just a smug liberal t**t that puts the word "journalist" to shame. Good on Jimmy Dore for leaving that bunch of losers. And Dore has been vindicated.

When talking to you, I feel like I've stepped into an alternate reality, where everything I knew to be true is suddenly false.
Then I step back into the real world, and none of that is true anymore.
To be honest, it's kind of disorienting.

It's called ignorance and confirmation bias. You will point blank reject anyone I put up even though they will set you straight. I've forced myself to listen through hours of people like Cenk. To be fair I quite enjoyed his debate with Tucker Carlson. They were both civil and made reasonable arguments. But Cenk got shown up by Aaron Mate on Russiagte. Mate and Dore are both progressives but don't push hoaxes because of their hatred for Trump.

And let me guess, you don't suffer from ignorance and confirmation bias. You're pretty sure, right?

I'm not afraid of the truth. I criticise Trump when I think he's done something bad and praise him when I think he's done well. Liberals just slate him regardless but usually silent when he drops bombs or favours Israel.
I'm not ignorant when it comes to the Russiagate hoax. Not that it is up to me to prove something with zero evidence is not true. Luckily people like Mate, Ray McGovern and Bill Binney have done the work.

And I used to get that feeling when I started listening to people like Noam Chomsky. But rather than grab for the comfort blanket I wanted to know if what he was saying was true and it turned out a lot of it was.
