Narwhals are whales, and their tusk is a tooth. I don't see why this needed elabouration.

I've herd this point made (for guns) often and don't usually comment because it's usually about America, but since this is on a thread about the UK, here goes.

Our tough gun control laws work really well. This is not because guns are outlawed and that's it, it is because there

is an entire system backing that up. Even the knife laws are geared partly towards backing up the gun laws. To

give an example of how effective the system is look at the London Bridge stabbings. He has connections in

terrorism, he has been in prison and knows criminals, he wants to kill as many people as possible, so what does he

use? not a gun even though according to your argument criminals would have guns. It's not good that he killed

two people but two is better than twenty. Also he wasn't taken out by a gun, he was killed by a gun to stop him

detonating (presumably he also couldn't get hold of any explosives); he was taken out by people on the streets

who were not frozen into inaction by the fear of getting shot.

You can do what you like in your country, but don't imply our gun laws don't work, they're fu*king awesome.

^To be clear, I see inaccuracies spouted from both sides of the gun debate in America not just the pro-gun. Lots of ranting and no listening or addressing or correcting each others points.

"Why would a terrorist wear a fake suicide belt that was hardly visible?"

I've read they do this for the scare effect , they even have a terrorist manual of what you need to prepare for an attack etc

People died who were living their lives, minding their own business, hurting no one; families and friends are heartbroken and bewildered; no politician, religious leader, or person of power was targeted; just folks walking down their street, living their lives.
He was trying to kill more than the two who died.
Tell me what did he accomplish?
His name in the news?
Is that worth ending precious human lives for?
And many devout Muslims, living in England having escaped poverty and unending war, will now experience mistrust and prejudice because of him.
This is what he killed and died for.

Don't fall into the trap of assuming that mass-murderers are creatures of logic and reason.  Even though they may have their actions well thought-out, their goals of "fame and glory" are often thwarted by their own deaths.

So, apparently the guy was previously convicted for planning to blow up the London Stock Exchange, and was now the poster-boy for what I must presume to be the worst de-radicalization programme ever, seeing as he not only got a hold of knives and a suicide-vest prop whilst in their direct care and supervision, but also had Anjem Choudary's personal cell number in his phone.

You got it. And a number of people have suggested Choudray is an MI5 informant. How did he get the knives and fake suicide vest in? He was wearing a tag and apparently wasn't allowed into London? The exact some thing happened 2 years ago before the election by the same bridge by another known jihadist. The Manchester bomber was flying back and forth to Libya with the help of our intelligence agencies to fight with Al Qaeda for us.

There is a regularity in history of human civilization. Only free people can be armed and slaves are always unarmed. It is becouse unarmed people are easier to control. Politicians in a country where citzens are unarmed can safely do crimes against their citzens and there will be no one to punish them.

Effect is such son of a b***h with a knife can just kill people on the street. If these people on the street would carry guns, he will be full of holes after atacking first one. But as terrorists kill just normal citzens and not politicians, this situation is comfortable for politicians. They keep their slaves unarmed and use incidents like this as propaganda argument for gun prohibition.

No one administered a psych evaluation before releasing him from prison?
Where he had been sentenced for terrorism?

Its interesting when you look at the figures, USA has around 500 accidental firearms deaths per year, The UK only has around 700 murders per year.

Apparently he had been 'deradicalised' and was a model for the wonders of liberal doctrine.
