Airport security isn't "the military" and article makes no mention of swastika tattoos.

What about you being the only person on the internet reporting that US Navy personnel sport swastika tattoos?

I'm hardly the only one concerned

Sure sounds like concerns about the US military is warranted.

Is the tablod showing proof of what cyberdad is claiming?

Is it wrong because you disagree with it?
I've heard plenty about white nationalists infesting the armed services. It is not a hoax.

Ezra following his usual algorithm to criticise the source to invalidate the argument...getting old

There was a Vice documentary that had firm evidence of military marching with Neo-nazis at Charlottesville

Oh, I'm sure Business Insider is also a tabloid publication! :P

No, Business Insider is not a tabloid publication. But I'm a little curious as to why cyberdad presented the article, since it does nothing to back up his claims.

There are certainly people with thunderbolt tattoos which don't mean anything bad.

No it was definitely a swastika and he also had a 14/88 tattoo. To be fair to Ezzie I am basing his membership of the navy to the hotel concierge who claimed the tattoo man in his swimming trunks was from the local San Diego naval base and he was bringing his family to the hotel as when they visit they can't stay on the naval base so they find accommodation in the nearby hotels.

I found the concierge (who was hispanic) to be credible in his explanation and the way he shrugged his shoulders it wasn't the first time he saw questionable tattoos on active naval personnel.

I think Cyberdad should realize by now whoever told him they were US Navy personnel was joking, lying or more likely just plain wrong. I mean did they show up in uniform for anyone to know that? I live a mile or two from a large US Navy base and I certainly can't tell who is Navy personnel unless they are in uniform.

Forget this whole tattoo buisness its dead end. What about the hand gesture?

In light of the fact that its a sign now adopted by extremists, (we have photos of a mass shooter using it in court) is anyone here still willing to dismiss it and joke?

It's spelled Ezzy.

Yet your story of active US Navy personnel wearing swastika tattoos is the only one in existence.

You are either making things up or you're not taking what's far more probable into consideration. Really I think you just want to expound on your nazis are everywhere exaggerations.

That would be you by interjecting the highly dubious and debatable claim of US Military wearing swastika tattoos.

I presented numerous depictions of that hand gesture belonging to the circle punch game. I even provided a video of people of color using that hand symbol/gesture in refferece to the circle punch game.

Put another way, it is used far, far more extensively for the circle punch game than as a white power symbol.

It's on clothing, posters, memes and used in many videos as the circle punch game. It went viral on the inernet as the circle punch game.

It is extremely likely that a cadet would know all about and play a contemporary youth oriented game such as the circle punch game.

You're putting the cart before the horse. All the hand gesture in court proves is that this shooter has been on the internet at some point.

4-chan decides to show that the American left is insane and will brand anything a white power symbol->the media/the left takes the bait and runs with it->actual white supremacists start using it as the least-possible-effort way to upset these people and get attention (and wildly succeeding). It's not a signal to other white supremacists, It's essentially just a way of giving these people the finger.

The original hoax was antagonistic, made with bad intent and the rusults are unsavoury. Its a good thing that the Navy clamp down on such behavior. Agree / Disagree

What the Navy wants and don't want in their photoshoots is their business, but regarding the "original hoax":

Antagonistic. So what?

Made with bad intent. I don't think exposing idiotic hysteria among people who are supposed to be journalists counts as bad intent. Bad for their careers, sure, but that's arguably a good thing.

The results are unsavoury. And whose fault is that? This is one of those situations where the way to win was to do nothing. The winning move was not to play. And, predictably, the glorified bloggers masquerading as journalists failed miserably.
