What's weird is I came down with something around Jan 3rd that had all the coronavirus symptoms. It was a very mysterious illness. Sudden fever, tiredness, aches, then lungs and coughing. But I was not sick enough to raise any alarms. The fever only got to about 101. But I felt like my immune system was fighting hard to get rid of some nasty bug. The fever broke after a couple of days, but I felt tired for about a week.

I got something that floored me for at least 2 months.
I couldn't eat for a week.
Forced myself to eat for over 3 weeks.
I was delirious and couldn't walk more than a dozen paces before I was too exhausted to go on.
High fever, but interestingly, a runny nose which isn't symptomatic of corona.
I couldn't lie down to sleep without getting "asthma anxiety".
Coughed for over 6 weeks, though that is the default, for me.
I got bugger all sleep for a month or two.
I never had anything/k like this in my life, before.
I never want to go through that again.
The doctor was surprised by my symptoms and didn't think it was the flu.

I got this well before we heard of the coronavirus.
Could I have caught something from a product sent from china?
I'm not convinced, but I still wonder about it.

meniginitus ? some peoples iimmune systems are strong enough to go through what you just described. according to my doctor apparently i had by his test results years later. while seeking out another pathogen . Very expensive testing procedures back then .

I have not read this whole thread.

Yep, I totally know what you mean. I have it now (mildly - doc put me in isolation at home), and I was, strangely, RELIEVED, because then I didn't have to go around wondering "When's it gonna get me?".

Meningitis is not something you want to get.

It doesn't matter how careful we are because of all the people who are not, and are in fact deliberately trying to spread it. Early today I saw a video of a man taking sips from bottles of juice at a store. Why are people like this? Why? WHY?!

Instead of asking why people kill themselves, we should be asking why people choose to go on living.

Yeah I would much rather just get a mild case of it than going through the whole the self protection routine. I'm usually careful during flu season anyways. Bu this stupid thing has me feeling like a germaphobe.
