in all fairness...lime flavored restaurant style corn chips have been offered in US grocery stores for years. The lime with corn tortilla flavor combo isn't bad. So Mt. Dew flavored Doritos cant be that bad cause its basically the same thing.

Maybe.

But that's just it. Most beer is essential liquid bread (both tastes like that, and that what it is), but to me Corona tastes like liquid tortillas (which is why its distinctive taste goes well with Mexican food). I don't know it it has corn in the ingredients, or not, but that's how it tastes. :)

Maybe it’s the salt and lime combo.Or the processesd lime taste.I don’t like salt or the lemon and lime squeeze bottles.Fresh only. Then I love it.Especially in sweet tea.
No salt in my beer,( some people here salt their beer can) not on my margaritas ,and most chips just taste overly salty to me.
Salt is bad for my kind.
I think it’s used as a repellent and restraint.Usually in a circle or other shape.

But people traditionally put vinegar over their chips (aka French fries, not the crisps), and vinegar's not all that different from lemon or lime juice...

I could never handle a sweet/sour combo as a kid, such as when offered bread with condensed milk over it. Rather each of 'em on their own.

Here it’s ketchup on the fries, not vinegar.
There are vinegar potato chips; crisps),my son likes them. Not so much for me.
I do like sour pickles.Especially the cute little gherkins.

Here in Southern California, it is not unknown to put Tabasco sauce on one's french fries. Personally, I prefer Tapatio.

You aren't pregnant Blabs 8O

but i must have pregnant tastes. :o most exotic ice creams i've gotten to sample were b and j's stout, and some japanese plum. both excellent. the roast beef ice cream is on my bucket list. as is turkey and gravy and dressing ice cream.

May I suggest trying Japanese green tea ice cream from 31 flavors in Japan. I was addicted for a time.
There is also a sorbet made in Japan from mandarin oranges leaves I think, hard to understand exactly what was being said, and it is amazing.

I like Louisiana brand, but I don't like Valentina. I bought a huge bottle of it once for next to nothing and to me it tasted like they might take dry pepper powder and make the sauce from that rather than from a pepper mash of fresh peppers like Tabasco does for example. I've preferred to make my own hot sauces for quite awhile. Peppers are great!

I like sweet chilli sauce on my chips and wedges.

Weird.

Mountain Dew doesn’t even taste all that great. Not terrible, but nothing special.

I drank a can of pop last Summer for the first time in probably 5 years. Dr. Pepper. 8)

I like Dr Pepper also.

It has an ironic name since some people complain that it tastes like cough medicine.
Guy's.
The cough medicine is cherry flavoured.
