How do you not comprehend that N95 masks are consumable inventory that needs to be continuously replenished so that no doctors run out of them anywhere? How do you not grasp the concept that cutting off supply of them to Canadian doctors will result in them running out of them and then being put at unnecessarily high risk of C-19 exposure?

Of course they run out,who said they didn’t?We have staff reusing them.Do you? They are already at risk.
How do you not grasp the need here now?We are already running short at some hospitals.Again how many deaths with your medical personal compared to ours?
Its entirely possible that it won’t even be as bad there as some US cities.I haven’t heard anything about high death rates in Canada.
Just checked.
More people dying in NY in a day than all of Canada.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavir ... ry/canada/

For the record, I have never advocated not giving masks to American doctors.

I said give them to all doctors and don’t take them away from Canadian, or any other country’s doctors, as it makes Zero Sense to put any doctors at high risk creating the conditions where they’ll contract C-19 at rates like in Spain or Italy.

Give all the doctors PPE.

Don’t withhold it from doctors in regions with lower death rates and wait until doctors there get sick and die. There’s no sense in doing that anywhere.
Medical doctors are medical doctors are medical doctors - they should have the PPE they need everywhere and none of them should be put at high risk of infection due to lack of N95’s.

Give them all masks.

Withhold them from retailers and the general public everywhere - world wide - if necessary to provide them to all doctors; who need them most.

I never said we should enter another nation and seize medical supplies, my point was we can’t export any of our masks since we are running short. Can’t send what you don’t have.
Never once have I approved of piracy. Why would I day dream about that?I day dream about my garden.
You day dream of harassing Americans.Or maybe it’s a wet dream.

The entire global supply of N95’s is dependant on international trade. Why wouldn’t/shouldn’t that continue to supply doctors all over the world with them?

100% of the filter material comes from here in BC, Canada. Should we just keep it all and give you none to make any masks with?

The masks are manufactured in the USA and definitely in Asia - China and surrounding countries, and then shipped all over the world.

Why should that stop? Why are Americans any more (or less) worthy of receiving mask shipments?

They’re all made from Canadian materials. Maybe Canada should decide who gets to have masks made from our material. Here’s what the decision would be: All doctors & none should be rudely withheld.

“The need of the many outweigh the needs of a few.”

Our medical staff needs masks now.Your staff do not.
Ours are reusing masks, your’s are not.
Again, more people in NY are dying daily compared to your whole frozen rock.
Who has the greatest need at this moment in time?

We can’t wait for you to manufacture them and you also say Canadian truckers don’t want to haul here.So counting on Canada to deliver anything shouldn’t be counted on.

Still wrong!

ALL medical doctors need masks.

I never once said medical workers didn’t need them.I said we need ours now or would you prefer they just kept reusing them? However you don’t need ours, your workers have plenty according to you.
What’s wrong with your comprehension?

Nothing is wrong with mine. It’s you who doesn’t get it. Give your country’s doctors masks ffs, but don’t take them away from my country’s or any other country’s doctors. Plain and simple: Give all doctors masks.

Did you not read my post on what I thought of piracy?
What we have in our supply stays here.
I’m starting to think you have some vision difficulties,I’m sorry about that.
Maybe you need some good old Canada health care before blindness sets in.Poor lil’ thing.

Noooo, some of what the USA manufacturers from Canadian materials gets exported to supply Canada and other countries as it always has. Same as what’s made in China and a few other countries. Not all countries manufacture N95’s, but all countries doctors need them - hence the global supply chain logistics that get them to everywhere they’re needed, just as Canada gets the raw material to every country that manufactures them.

Fake news. I can read just fine.

Countries have interdependent supply chains for many products, this one included. 100% of the world is dependent on Canada to supply the raw material - and we continue to do that. Countries that don’t mfg N95’s are dependent on countries that do to continue exporting them as per normal. All doctors worldwide should continue to be supplied with N95’s and none should be cut off from supply. Pretty simple.

I don’t recall saying we manufacture them.
We need our current inventory right now.
Very simple to understand.

What is the raw material that only Canada supplies?

Likely, it's cheap Canadian sweat-shop labour.

The specific grade of pulp fibre that’s made Only at one mill here in Nanaimo, BC, on Vancouver Island is called “K10S.” Canada supplies the entire world with it for N95 masks & medical gowns etc. It’s a global effort to produce N95’s and they should remain supplied to all countries’ doctors.

(But if I had to pick one to favour it would be Cuba first, then everyone else equally.)

Here’s a short article about it:

Sounds like the US should start manufacturing its own. The US certainly has plenty of western red cedars in the pacific northwest.

Sounds like trump is set on destroying any cooperative relationships the USA has with any country around the world.
