I truly hope that neither the local citizens, especially the recipients, nor local law enforcement will shrug this off as ‘probably a sick joke’.
Some extremely ugly and dangerous groups were once considered harmless and foolish.
Pretty much, yeah.

I'd say that's exactly what a lot of posters on WP have been insinuating, that what happened once can't happen twice. FFS It was already happening when those dudes showed up & started the Godwin's law debate on whether or not it's OK to call anyone a nazi.

It's just a word they're nitpicking about, not reality.

Even if it is individuals "just using the nazi symbols to shock and scare people", they're still willing to use, and chose to use, specifically nazi symbols, and were sufficiently ok with that choice to carry out the action. At that point, the only difference I see between them and any other nazi is a matter of degree.

Sooner or later someone is gonna play the "they're just trying to make people THINK nazis exist" card, which inherently carries with it the implication that nazis DON'T exist - otherwise why would people be trying to "create the illusion" that they exist.

Its wild how the same people that claim the word "nazi" is overused, also bend over backwards nearly full-circle to treat every instance of the word nazi like it's fake or disingenuous, even when it's being used to describe actual real nazis. You could say you watched a historical documentary on actual nazis in world war two, and someone would pop up to pretentiously point out "not all germans were nazis you know...", even though they didn't say anything of the sort.

Given that nazis DO exist, and ARE still around, in various forms, it seems negligent to simply shrug this off and not at least attempt to take it even remotely seriously.

Can Sweetleaf, if she’d be willing, post a picture of the front cover, a page, maybe a couple of paragraphs from one of these pamphlets?
With permission from management of the WP website, of course!!
We have not seen them, we are intelligent and perceptive; let us decide if there is a genuine hate group surfacing or a prank or more button-pushing by political radicals.

It was in the link (certain people refused to look at it).

So let's talk about who was behind this incident.

I already posted that it was the Spokane chapter of a neo-Nazi group who have been previously linked to terrorism
https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2019/ ... o-nazi-ha/

but merely someone playing a terrible prank.
Because there are cases of people doing exactly that. Largely to get a reaction and to play the victim status. Who ever is responsible for those Nazi taggings in Colorado, Should honestly get beaten to within a inch of their life.

When I said someone with a computer and an office printer cranked them out, I was downplaying the nazis involved. Calling them unsophisticated. Having poor resources. I'd rather mock them, than boost their egos.

The Spokane WA group is under investigation. Whether you or I or the person next door takes them seriously or not, law enforcement and government agencies are taking them seriously enough to keep an eye on them.

What's worth mentioning is that in an era where the POTUS i) obtained strategic policy directions from a known neo-Nazi named Steve Bannon ii) referred to Nazis as "fine people" and iii) told members of a far right organisation to "Stand by" (instead of rejecting their views) that 71 million people appear to have no objection to the legitimisation of the far right.

It only takes one termite to destroy the foundations. So it is with the far right. The FBI never explained why they didn't take the extemist group which included in it's membership, Timothy McVeigh, more seriously.

I'd prefer to eradicate them in addition to Mocking them,

I would think it should be obvious to most any adult that of course neo-nazis exist and they publicize their existence.

But they're not in every corner and under every bush. There's not a nazi under your bed or hiding in your closet.

There is a nazi organization in Spokane WA that put nazi propaganda leaflets on people's doorsteps.

However, not everyone who has a different political view than you (collective you) is a nazi.

Since so far I haven't come up with a way to eradicate them, I resorted to the latter.

There are however misguided people downplaying the severity of an entirely real problem by complaining they've been tarred & feathered here, that's not the point, your political views should not intersect with this, end of story, if you don't want to get run over, get out of the road.

No, you overplay the severity and seriousness of having a different political view than you by calling them things like alt-right cultists and foreign threats to democracy etc. I'm not worried about being run over by the melodrama wagon, I just point out its existence.

Thus perpetuating melodrama.

Honestly man, if you think this is a melodramatic subject, I just hope I'm the one to tell you you're wrong peacefully.
