F that. There should be no unity & cooperation with seditious lawmakers and their insurrectionist supporters. Investigate, charge, prosecute & convict them all one by one. Wield political power to shape a progressive path forward for America. Unite behind common goals of progress & productivity, shifting to a cleaner greener economy, a higher standard of living, education, and healthcare. But do not give in to bad apples and let them get off Scott free with the crap they just pulled. Punish them to set the precedent that this garbage is completely unacceptable and will never be a part of what it is to be American. Unite on that.

Absolutely no argument from me.

What you have expressed is due process, not hate-filled revenge some are advocating.
Not that long ago, some wanted a Stalin type purge amongst the American ranks. 8O

Apparently, some Democrats and some Democratic supporters, don't care what Pr Joe Biden says or wants.

I'm not spinning this.
It is all down in black and white type in this thread.

He meant political opponents, like Mitt Romney, not seditious members of government or domestic terrorist insurrectionists. Those people are enemies of the United States Government as well as the constitution of the United States of America, which Biden has sworn to defend against enemies both foreign and domestic.

It is beyond me why you think a violent mob trying to overthrow the US government, that killed 5 people, should be greeted with open arms and sung Kumbaya to. Wtf?

How TF do you interpret that to mean that violent insurrectionists should be forgiven for their crimes and Americans who respect their country’s constitution and system of government should unite with them? :?

I don't think Joe Biden's position is that those involved with the insurrection should face no consequences.

Absolutely.
Make peace where possible, communicate, move forward, but crimes must be exposed, trials must be held, certain people belong in jail.
And that insurrection/riot/demonstration did not result in 5 deaths.
There is another.
Another cop who was on duty during that incident has committed suicide.
I am beginning to believe that much more was going on behind the scenes than we could have imagined at the time.

And at much higher decision making law enforcement management levels than the boots on the ground. Which is why international security experts from Paris are on the record basically saying “Omfg, the cops didn’t do the textbook things they were supposed to do to protect the people and building. This was planned and they were involved.”

A whole lot of cops/their bosses, and possibly national guard officials, belong in jail over this.
