And the fellows name did not prompt the people at the store to think twice about verifying information concerning this fellow . But I do not how Colorado laws are written on these issues .

He lived in his family’s home.
They cared enough about him that he had food and a roof and some degree of companionship.
However, he was apparently never sat down, his behavior addressed, told that he WAS going to see someone and get a diagnosis.
That may well have prevented this tragedy.

or mebbe they tried and could not get the state to pay for the care he needed but they couldn't afford to arrange on their own.
