Unlike Trump, who was in debt for billions to the Russians, had apparently laundered money for said Russians, and may have been the star of a pee tape, Biden has nothing that could personally leave him open to blackmail.

The P tape was a total hoax. Where is the proof of debt to the Russians?

The thread was actually about Biden, you're the one who started in with the whataboutery with Trump, which required me to demolish your source, noted conspiracy theorist Rachel Maddow. You have no one to blame but yourself for the veering off topic, though I'm sure everyone would be happy to resume discussing the blatant ongoing corruption of the Biden family, if you can resist trying to interject about Trump again.

I made no reference to Maddow - you had by claiming I got all my news from her. If the truth be known, I'm a CNN guy.
For the record, Trump was a disaster as a President, and he was way too close to Putin, while trying to wreck our relationships with our NATO allies. Besides Trump being a wannabe strongman himself, one has to wonder why that was.

Alright, but the two are inexorably linked, as the immediate past and present always are.

What "juicy" information is on Hunter's laptop?

Well, the one he forgot at the repair shop contained some emails concerning his business dealing that suggested he might be delivering kickbacks to his father, in addition to some rather salacious photos and such, but the media actively suppressed the story, and we really don't know what kind of investigation was carried out regarding the potential corruption.

Now, this other laptop that he apparently had stolen by a Russian hooker is a total mystery, nobody knows what might be on it, but it's probably embarrassing based on the last one.

I think there is considerable doubt that the laptop left at the repair shop was ever actually his. It makes no sense that someone, anyone, would "forget" a laptop at a repair shop. Regardless, its in the hands of the FBI and they've been mum, last I heard. Am I missing an official update?

That's just it, we don't know, and the story was squelched here, you couldn't even mention it on social media without getting your account locked, while all the mainstream media trotted out a bunch of former CIA and NSA guys who are now on their payroll claiming that the laptop "had all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation", without ever backing up that statement, and the Bidens never really denied the contents. Maybe you trust your government when it comes to stuff like that, but I don't, it's kind of an American tradition.

Recall that time Hunter's girlfriend (his dead brother's widow btw) thew his gun away in a public trashcan, and then the US Secret Service tried to confiscate the paperwork from the dealer who sold it to him just in case it turned up in a crime? Did you know that by lying on the 4473 he had to fill out to purchase the gun in 2018, he committed a felony carrying a potential 10 year prison sentence? Think there was any investigation of any of that?

https://www.politico.com/news/2021/03/2 ... gun-477879

If they are locking your account it means they have proof you are spreading disinformation, whether you believe that is what it is or not. Or it was a temporary mistake. Those are the options. They aren't perfect, but I haven't seen any unreasonable locks hold, and the social media companies do NOT adhere to any single political position that would encourage them to act dishonestly in unison.

I was evading the questions of the veracity of some of the things in this thread because I haven't followed recent news carefully, but if you're going back to the old news during the election, that I thoroughly investigated at the time. Do I remember all the details? No. I saw no reason to hold onto information about fake news. What could I do with it? Persuade someone like you? I'm not that naive; I've never persuaded you of anything when it comes to news and politics. If I tangle I'm just seeing if I can sharpen my knife skills a little.

The paintings are definitely bizarre and I do wonder what we're missing, but I haven't come up with anything yet. But absolutely the FBI has to be aware, so I can only hope that is there is a fire there, it gets found.

Meanwhile, one thing I know is that I never have cast a vote for Hunter Biden and he holds no position in his father's administration. Pick my battles.

My understanding is was the repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac was a MAGA/Trump supporter who passed the laptop drive to the FBI and made a copy which he passed to now disgraced Trump loyalist Rudi Guliiani. His despicable act resulted in his business getting closed permanently (I mean who does that to a client??) as you can't pass a client's property to third parties like Guliani as that's theft and a breach of privacy.

The MAGAs started spreading a rumour that the repair shop owner was killed by the FBI to protect Joe Biden
That was proven to be false

You have more details than I remember. Didn't know about that last rumor. I do remember the Guiliani part. Can I say I'm sadden by the road that man has gone down? He was never my favorite, but once-upon-a-time he wasn't that bad a leader. Weird hill he choose to stake the end of his career on. Really sad.

Not the sort of computer repair man I'd leave my laptop with.
And I agree, he's hardly an unbiased source.

My understanding

Let's evaluate this, focussed upon the predicate:

As you would be aware (you've made this claim before, and had it answered), the owner had every legal right to do what he did.

Simply put: Laptop taken (by someone) to shop.
Person who takes it there signs a contract stating if not collected\pid for within certain time, it becomes property of store (to cover outstanding costs, etc.).
Laptop not collected.
Shop takes ownership of laptop, legally, including all data stored upon it.
Store owner looks at data (unknown reason - maybe to transfer "personal" data like photographs, documents, etc. in case owner returns some time later, so that these can be returned).
Store owner finds "questionable" material.
Store owner notifies FBI (who subpoena'ed device), keeping a copy of the data as "insurance" in case FBI try to sweep issue under the carpet.
Store owner, not seeing anything happening from FBI side (many months later) passes copy along to various other sources to publicise what was found\stir FBI into action.

So, we're at a point where the owner's actions were legal, there was no "theft", nor "breach of privacy (which, as you were advised previously, would require an admission that the questionable data found on the devices (emails, etc.) were legitimate). It is also the same actions taken by other locations (such as Best Buy - who look through data even if computer is not abandoned) - a fact you may have been aware of, had you been paying attention to this thread...

Not sure where there's any evidence it was "MAGAs" spreading the rumour - it could have equally been people trying to stir up trouble (who knows, maybe Russians colluding with the Biden campaign) - There's nothing in the article stating it was MAGAs who started the rumour, or were responsible for spreading it... And they originated at a "satire" site.

Out of curiosity, I've noticed that you seem to put forward a lot of claims about what MAGA's think\do on this site - Is this from inside information to demonstrate your membership of that group, or simply trying to find things to post in order to maliciously "attack" the group?

@Brictoria

As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Not in speculation.

1. If John Paul was being a responsible citizen then why did he pass a copy of a client's private information to Guliani without consent? His intention was quite obviously to sink Joe Biden; you are trying desperately to paint a picture he was some type of whistlblower hero

2. Despite your attempt to claim the laptop and data is John-Paul's property based on a contract (which mysteriously you have detailed knowledge of?), he appeared to make no attempt to contact the owner but proceeded to download private information from the laptop.

I know people who run small businesses and there is something called "personal good will" which they try to establish which is to maintain the company's good name and recognition value with each of their clients. I imagine his existing clients would have been horrified to know that he is capable of not contacting a client and instead downloaded personal data from their computer getting access to personal data including bank account details. It's not rocket science that would have given his business a black mark. I wouldn't trust this man.
Here's the proof, his business is now permanently closed.

Don't know. I personally think the whole Hunter Biden thing is a fraud.

Another concocted story to fling mud at Biden. Using a mentally ill adult to score political points. Really noble
