Right, but isn't that where one would expect to find it?
Matrix Glitch said it was being removed from a forum where the rules are probably biased more towards decorum than driving engagement, whereas a lot of other platforms would prefer to drive engagement by letting the pissing matches unfold.
You can justify removing it from a forum if it's being used to troll, but removing it as profanity seems dumb since it's not, it's just a silly euphemism. In any other context (like a comments section on social media) it's pointless to bother policing it because that only feeds into the mindset.
let's be frank....if I say F____ Trump in order to get a laugh the post will be removed and if I do it often enough I will be banned from WP
LGB (acronym) literally means F_____Joe Biden.
I haven't followed the full thread so take with a grain of salt:
A post would be removed for using a profanity, but not because it was directed at a public figure.
Denigrating public figures is generally allowable, if ineffective as a tool of persuasion. Denigrating members, non-public figures, and generalized groups is not.
All sorts of terms are are intended as nicer ways of saying profanities, but they aren't the profanity and, as such, lack the emotional and social impact to listeners. Plus, they generally soar over the heads of the innocent. All of which are why they are generally allowable. Less impact to the speaker, as well, but they can usually get the job done of satisfying the emotional need.
Liberals have had their share of phrases to denigrate Trump so let the conservatives have their fun.
