Does Wench have a different meaning in the US? my understanding is its a woman from the middle ages?

A wench is not necessarily a prostitute----but it's still a demeaning term for a woman. It implies a woman is low-class.

The term is found in English literature from the Middle Ages to about the Victorian Period. People don't use it much these days, unless they're joking. There's worse names for a woman than a "wench" these days.

I know what a wench is, thanks.

It's an insult based on her gender, just like calling her ugly and posting her photo.

Ok thanks, I just googled it and although it does have a similar meaning to what I was alluding to, I see it also means something else so I won't use the term again. It's something I inherited from my schoolboy days.

She regularly insults decent people, she is ugly on the inside.

The guy who was arrested----has a considerable criminal record. Multiple violent felonies.

And he had hit somebody with a car recently. Bad habits don't seem to die.....

In looking at what he is charged with within the November 5th case, where he did hit somebody with a car. I would have to say that $1,000 bail is miniscule. With his record, and the violence of what occurred in that case, a NYC judge would have imposed a bail much larger than $1,000.

This guy is a career criminal----and not really a nice guy at all.

The crime was horrendous. The comments from that woman were also out of line and insensitive.

Disagree with her opinions all you want, but please don't judge people of any gender by their looks or class.

If people are going to post photos, I hope they're pictures of the innocent victims.

May they rest in peace.

I posted the names of the victims (RIP). I am hoping those on life support (there are 10 at the moment) pull through.

I am still curious about his motive though? The police have ruled out the first two things I was troubled about
1. Terrorism
2. Rittenhouse trial

So is it somehow related to something else? did he have a death wish? these remain questions

He's just a person who has made "being a criminal" his life's work.

Every time things don't go his way, he becomes prone to doing extreme things.

It's one thing to be a career petty criminal. It's another to commit mass murder?

The guy had multiple violent felonies----not "petty" in the least.

And he tried to hit someone with a car in his last arrest. I'm seeing a pattern here.....
